Colorful and adorned with classic Tiki-style elements, this bird feeder has one feature that the others don't: No hardware is required! So it can be scaled to any size that fits your printer!
Other than that, it's very similar to all my other projects.
It's simple to assemble, but I recommend following the instructions carefully and doing dry-fit checks (tests without glue) to fully understand how the parts fit together. Also, make sure you glue the parts properly and take the time to ensure the glue cures properly.
Only one part needs small supports. It's the long bamboo wall (the one with the perch) that needs supports on the small dovetails at each end. That's all. And it's specified in the file name.
All multi-color parts print using simple layered color changes, which can be done on any type of 3D printer. If you're not familiar with layered color changes, send me a private message and I'll guide you with some links or visit my community page to seek help from other members.
I recommend using multiple walls on the columns to ensure sturdy parts. The same goes for the hook if you decide to use it. 5 to 7 walls is, in my opinion, the minimum depending on your material.
A Bambu Lab project file is also included. In it, you'll find the color and wall settings already configured. These settings are only suggested, of course; you're free to change them if you wish.
Regarding the color changes in the project file, they are already configured, but they are per LAYER and not painted with the paint tool. So you must first slice the plate to see the colors applied in the preview window and on the slider bar to the right of your screen.
The project is currently in "normal" format, meaning it is configured for a 256x256mm bed like the P1s or X1c. However, as mentioned above, it can be scaled down to fit a mini or enlarged if your printer allows it.
Also, regarding the multicolor columns, the file name begins with... Multicolor! I didn't include color names, for obvious reasons of confusion or overly long file names.
I'll conclude by adding that if you experience any problems with the project, just let me know. I'll try to help you as best I can!
Have fun my friends! Keep printing!
