3D model description
Do you love 3D printing? Are you looking for a display for your workshop? This cute sign will surely draw attention.
This is shown in three colors, but you can print it using single extrusion with one filament swap for a two-color look. Or print with one color and decorate with marker, paint, or a 3D pen.
OR... I printed this sequentially! The back printed, then the filament strand completely and finally all of the text and print head. Only 3 splices with my Palette. With a single extrusion setup, you could do the same with two filament swaps.
Also, I created a textured look on my prints as shown in the photos. I used two solid bottom layers, two layers with 90% honeycomb infill, and no top layers. Models are 1 mm thick printed with 0.25 mm layer height.
Bonus! Back without hanging loop also included. Make a sign that could stick to a wall. Or use adhesive magnets for different options. Also included is a single model for the text and printing icon for easier two-color setups.
Photos with black are of my updated design. My original prints are shown with the blue. I decided to keep the original photos to share another color combination and the model for the original text is included in case anyone prefers it.
Thanks to FIXUMDUDE for the updated design suggestions.
3D Printing Icon adapted from 3D Print Icon #222413.

3D printing settings
Sign is approximately 186 x 186 (163 no hanging loop) x 1 mm. All models are 1 mm thick. Note that each decoration model has its origin raised to 1 mm.
Align the model origins to have everything fit together properly then group items and move as needed to fit on print bed. I printed with 0.25 mm layer height and used infill for texture as described above.
No raft. No supports.

I am a high school math teacher and 3D printing hobbyist. I have been 3D printing since 2017 and enjoy making things for my classes and my own children and home in San Diego, California, USA.
I design with Mathematica, CorelDRAW, Fusion 360, and Tinkercad. I love my MakerGear M3-ID and my Palette 2S Pro. I have a Prusa MK3S as well. I started a 3D printing sub-site abbymath.com/3DPrinting, but it needs some updating.
