Hi. haven't installed any mechanics yet. I haven't finished it yet as I stopped flying RC helickopter for a few years. I keep it for display only now.

You can download the build notes here and check it out before you buy the plane.

Sounds like the fuel cap.

so it is, Thanks!!

Hi! Nice design you made there. Are you using real wood in those photos or have you printed some vinyl for those parts? Very nice indeed.

Related design: Gamepad for Atari

Thanks. That's some cheap wood grain vinyl that I got via Ebay.

hello is there a aftermarket differnetial for the badger setup

Yes. The info on theBadger page describes how:
"Yokomo Y2-500 ball diff for YD-2 can be used. Assemble the diff according to the Yokomo instructions and then use the photos I attached here as guides for the spacers and adapter ring. Glue the adapter ring in place with CA glue in four spots. It's unlikely that it will need replacing, but if it does then it can be removed with a heat gun and carefully heating until the PLA ring becomes soft and removeable.

A special chassis and gearbox frame is available to fit Yokomo diffs directly with the 10x15x4 mm ball bearings. It's called Option-Yokomodiffchassisbelt01 and is not relevant to normal builders.

FS racing part number 511687 steel gear dif can be used with the car by replacing the original bevel ring gear with part Steeldiff02-Geared.STL and adding the adapter rings inside the two 12x18x4mm ball bearings as shown in the photo of the FS Racing bag."

We downloaded and printed this file for 1/4 scale cub dummy engine. Granted we are not experienced 3d printing experts but the result was considerably larger than for 1/4 scale. Exhaust pipe near 5/8" where it should have been nearer to 3/8". Could you provide some explanation/advice?- G

I checked the 25% STL file now. The exhaust pipe is ~13,2 mm at the largest diameter (the end that sits nearest the print bed) so it's pretty close to the middle between 3/8 and 5/8 (9,53-15,88 mm). The end pipe after the muffler is 12,7 mm (1/2").

Different RC models are often slightly different in size even if they claim to be 1/4 scale. If the engine is too big for your plane you can reduce the size of the parts with the scaling option in the slicer. All slicers have this "transform" feature. That way you can make it fit any size Cub model within reason (too small won't print right).

It's not a perfectly accurate scale engine model and I didn't have a real engine to measure from. There are variants of Cub exhausts too so I made it overall look as good as I was able to from photos and 3-view plans.

If you're not happy and want to refund you can go through the prcess and I'll approve it for you.

I just DL again. There are two directory levels with one containing 3D files. Neither has STL files.

The 3D files are .STL files. STL files are a type of 3D model files. You probably have "hide extensions for known file types" turned on (it's on by default in Windows) in your file explorer.

Did you even try opening them in your slicer?

Hi, I bought the R2800 radial engine design and when I unpacked the ZIP file I did not see any STL files. They were 3D object files. Is there something I must do to create the STL files for printing?

I just downloaded it myself and there are two levels of folders which Cults3D added to the files and then six STL files.

Hi, can I ask you a question please. I am printing He-162, I feel that the rear fuselage parts are missing a circular hole for the rods - elevator control. In the fuselage parts there is only about 70 mm long hole at the beginning and it is not through the entire part. Can I ask you for help. Do you have the correct parts somewhere please. I looked at the forums, and there are holes correctly through the entire rear fuselage. I would like to praise the beautifully modeled model. I have wanted to build this model for a long time. Thank you and have a nice day Milan.

Hi I am very intersted in the dummy-radial-engine 2800. However from the pictures it looks like one cylinder does not have the fins. Is this the case? Bob

They all have fins. Which photo are you tlking about? You can click on the photo to see larger versions of them with more detail.

I was referring to the last 6 pictures (blue) which I thought were the downloads.

Maybe I don't understand the question then. All cylinders should be almost equal. they are clones of each other.

OK I understand. Many thanks.

In short, what changes, specifically parts, does this concern? Thank you for your answer.

Only the new EL-39 build notes are changed today. I just updated links and because the old ones were dead. No changes to the model otherwise.

thx

Hello,
I have printed the L39.
Which JP retrace should I use?
Should I buy a complete set of JP and which one?
If I print the retrace, which one should I order from JP?
The links for the absorbers do not work.
Could you send me a link to the type that is in the construction description?

Regards, Johnny Bastiaansen

Hi. Thanks.

I have updated the build notes with new links. You can redownload if you want the new file.

Do you mean print the retracts? There are no printable retract units.

These retracts with Version 2 control box and Outside version: https://www.hobby-china.com/alloy-electric-retracts-set-3pcs-and-control-box-for-7-8kg-rc-plane-model.html

I have paid for the download of the Carl Goldberg Cub Cowl amp Engine over an hour ago. It got about half way through and stopped. Do you have any suggestions or perhaps resend the file to me. dave.penchuk@bell.net
Thanks for making the file.

You can redownload your purchases as many times as you want. Did it fail to download?

Hi,
I would also like to create and print model airplanes. Can you give me some helpful tips on where or how I can best get started, or can you recommend any useful tutorials?

Greetings from Germany,
Norman

There's a lot of useful information on the RCGroups forum. Specifically the "3D Printed Planes" forum. There are threads specifically for design techniques.

Hello I found your model Mk Ultra - 3D printable 1/10 4wd buggy and so much like me and I shoudl be question , if you can little change size? I can try your model use to rally , but we have maximum width 200mm , so i need little Under 200mm and wheelbase 257mm , you can try change model for this size ? Thanks Jakub Hoffmann from Czech republic

Hi Lynxman, your MGB gear reduction part (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/speedo-cable-gear-reduction-drive) is amazing and the 1.25:1 ratio is exactly what I need. However, I have a 80 MGB and the cable end is different. Is there any chance you made one for the later models? If not, what's the chance if I send you the dimensions of the cable end that you could modify the design?

Hei
Har noen spørsmål ang Ursa.

Hilsen Bård

je peux utiliser bambu studio ?

hello
i want to modify the Melusine

https://cults3d.com/es/modelo-3d/variado/melusine-3d-printed-electric-glider-and-fpv-platform

to use a 90mm 4.2 kg aluminum edf (epf hobby)

and also make it bigger.
use bigger servos

and reinforce wing to reach higher speeds

could you please consider to sell the .step file of this design

im willing to pay 40 eur
(like 12x the price of the current melusine)

....
i also design rc jets,
i usually use foamboard
and i cut it using a laser cutter.

i can totally share you some models (fusion 360 or step files)

.... the point is
i know the effort behind design something
10000000% you will never see your design online

. please contact me.
estebanurrutiamartinez @ gmail . com

Sorry I don't give out or sell originals. I also can't export to STEP from 3D STudio Max. Feel free to import the STLs and use the Melusine as the pasis for a bigger design.

how about an exchange

3 of my design for you design ( i can work with .igs files, you can export to that format)

L-39 105mm edf , with launcher

experimental cessna like, with 90mm edf instead of propeller

im literally robbing my self

pd. they are all prove to flight.

the models contains everything. even the servos ,esc, battery etc every

and all has its how defined mass and density

i calculate the center of gravity
using the software (fusion 360l

and i get center of gravity almost as 90% in the correct location
