Is it waterproof ... YES, it is!

  • Watch the video RC MiniMono Boat - 3D printed Jet Drive UNDERWATER! After that, there was no water in it!
  • If your print of the hull is good, it should be waterproof. But, if you want to be safe, you could still paint it with a thin layer of car clear coat. I tried both variants and it works very well.
  • The drive shaft of the boat is sealed between two plain bearings with a lubricating seal.
  • The cover is sealed with a 2mm cord of foam rubber or with a 3d printed flex seal

Not to fast! Print the parts with about 30mm/s, to get a good layer connection. (It depends on the quality of your printer)

@UNIATG The updates for 2212 motors will come next time. In moment I'm working hard to finish.

@EXO Hi... sry, but "self-righting" will not work with the Jet Boat 300, it will only work with the Mini Jet Boat 200.
But I will check, if it is also possible... In moment I'm working on the release of the updates of the Jet Boat 200. So I need some time. Thank's for the idea!
Jet drives will not work in reverse mode.

I have built the boat - thank you for the design and the great assembly videos.One question: The self-righting does not work on my boat. I used the BE1806 motor and the 12A BLHELI ESC. I noticed that the recommended ESC was changed to the 20A version. Will self-righting work with the larger ESC or what was the reason for the change? Any other ideas what I am doing wrong?

@drum4zirrus Hi, I use the following glues to glue my 3d printed (PLA or ABS) parts together.
UHU Spezialkleber Hart Kunststoff or UHU Allplast 30gr 48410

I wonder how you glued the two hull parts together? Which glue an how? Thank you!

I used the following material:
- 1x 2S Lipo with 2 x 18650 3400mah cells
- 1x Servo 2g (Not powerful enough by the way)
- 1x DYS BE1806 2300KV motor
- 1x ESC Emax 12A BLHELI ESC 1A 5V

The motor and the propeller turn without resistance.

@macandnews Hi. the speed in the video is real speed. For this boat I used 4x 18350 cells as 4S Lipo. But you could only use 2/3 of the power. So there is no big difference in the speed of the boat, between 4S and 2S Lipo configuration.
- 1x Lipo 4S with 4x 18350 cell
- 1x Servo 2g
- 1x Motor 1806 2300KV
- 1x ESC Littlebee 20A + external 5V BEC
Maybe you should test if the motor and propeller is turning easily.

The 20 is slightly larger than the 15.
It's one or the other, the choice is yours.

Sorry, one more question. I just bought the files. What is the difference between boat_trim_15.stl and boat_trim_20.stl? They seem to be identical to me?
Do I need one of each or two of each one to complete the boat?

Yes, there are several files for the shell: in one or two parts and with or without support for the batteries.
Your printer is ideal for the two-part version.

Is it possible to print this on an Artillery Genius (build area 220x220x250mm)?
Not sure if it works since the boat is 300mm long - is the hull separate into different files or do I need a larger printer?

I start the assembly at the end of the week and have received the material for 2 and 3 batteries with BSM.
I would put the photos and info on Cults after the tests.

The idea with the BSM for a 3S Lipo sounds good. Please try it and show us your results.

I ordered the rubber cord, so no need to print "boat_hull_seal".

@macandnews The "boat_hull_seal" was a wish of a user. You could print your seal instead of using a foam rubber cord.
But i recommend the foam rubber cord.
Print Settings:
The Boat 300 doesn't need special cura settings, because the hull is much thicker, so there should be not problems with the standard print settings.
Otherwise, you could take the same settings of the Boat 200

Hello, I'm going to start printing the boat, but I can't see where this part: "boat_hull_seal" is mounted in the assembly video. Is it to print it with flexible filament and replace the sealing bead?
