3D model description
An adapter to try out A mount lenses on Sony E mount cameras.
This adapter can't enable the aperture leaver of A mount lenses, instead a small "wedge" is included to hold the aperture wide open..
These adapters can be purchaced for not too much money on eBay etc., but I needed one urgently for a few lens tests... so a 3D print was the way to go! The adapter length is the difference between flange depths of A & E mounts (44.5-18mm), less a small amount (~0.5mm) to ensure infinity focus.
v2 is longer (26.5mm), and worked better for me, especially for short focal lengths.
3D printing settings
FDM: print with the E mount side on top (ie printed last). 0.2mm layers should be sufficient, 1.2mm wall thickness minimum.
I used Cura, 4mm brim, 20% infil, with supports (which should just be for the A & E mount flanges).
