3D model description

This Flexi Scorpion is an articulated print-in-place model that needs NO supports, No assembly, and prints great with PLA

Just in time for Halloween, this Flexi is really fun to play with because it flops around and moves in any which way.

Like with all my Flexi's, I went through several iterations to make sure it was strong, and easy to print without supports.

Please feel free to share images of your prints on this page, I would love to see 'em.

Thank you.

Super easy print

No Supports
Print-in-place (no assembly)
20% infill to be safe
PLA works great

*If you are creating the big scorpion, there is one glue point. This is very easy, I recommend super glue for this. Just be careful not to glue it to the table :)

Printed the scorpion and wasn't very happy. all the legs broke very quickly. The shape of the legs and printing them vertically makes them very weak.
Very dissatisfied with this design.

I'm sorry you are having trouble printing this, the legs really shouldn't be weak. I would suggest printing it with 3 walls if you aren't already. Also make sure you are not under extruding.

I had a similar issue on a diff model and it turned out to be the filament and not the model.

I printed it in PLA at both 50% and 100% scale, both came out great. Printing at less than 50% scale had issues with the flexibility and was a little too fragile in my opinion.

Thank you for putting in the time and effort to create the model!

Thanks! yeah, 50% or less and you really have to have your printer dialed in.
