Hi Jason I build in 1;32 what would be a good setting for that size & have you done any in that size? Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan, most of the parts that I have put up are pretty accurate to the original parts. And the main scale I am trying to get to is 1:8. Even at a scale of 1:8 most of the sheet metal parts are really thin. I haven't tried them on an 8K or 12k printer but I wouldn't expect a good outcome at 1:32.

thank you

Do you have the latter model Spandau LMG 08/15 machine gun? The one that I just purchased was version 1 of this gun and I was looking for version 2.

I have the other version without the cooking handle. I believe that that was earlier than the handle but I could be wrong. Just have a look at my models and you will see it.

From the information that I have, the "cooking handle" was the first iteration of the Spandau LMG 08/15 model. I will check out your models to find the other one. Thank you. Ken

Absolutely, If you scale all peices the same you should have no issues.

Good evening.
Before I sacrifice time, when scaling the USS Oregon submarine, is it safe to simply scale each part by the same percentage and still have things mate up?
Many thanks, Matt

It should scale with no issues, if you go smaller some of the tolerances might get a little tight though.

Hi I’d like to talk to you about the Lamborghini countach space frame model.
Could you explain to me how accurate this model is, and provide some of your sources you based this model off of. I’d like to buy it if it’s accurate enough

Hi Kydo, The frame is the result of information gathered from reports and photos and magazine articles. I have never seen a real chassis in person. It will almost certainly have errors when compared to the real thing. I consider it more of an artistic sculpture peice than an actual perfect representation of an actual chassis. Hope this helps, Jason

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been trying to download the Lamborghini chassis file, but I haven’t been able to. I’ve tested it on several devices and browsers, but it still doesn’t work. Could you please check if the link is correct or if there’s another way to access the file?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to your response.

Sorry to hear your having an issue will check the download package when I'm able too should be able to tomorrow morning Australian time

Hi I have checked the file and it is currently working, see if you can try again. If it doesnt work let me know and I will email it to you.

USS Oregon (SSN-793) Virginia class submarine: Quick question you wouldn't be able to produce an assembly out of the submarine or an .obj, .3mf, .dbl with the color/visual details showing? I am looking to use GrabCAD to print this model on a polyjet 3D printer. I would need to have the single submarine model with all of its details saved in one of the previously mentioned formats. I will be happy to pay and share a photo of the final print if possible!

Hi, when you say colour showing would that include the painted details? or just the main colour differences on the deck, prop and aerials.

I should be able to do that by tomorrow. I'm currently on holiday with my family but will see what I cab do.

Would it be possible to draw the German steel helmet for the trailer coupling? ;)

Do you mean like a helmet that goes on top of a tow ball

Yes that what i mean :)

That shouldn't be a problem leave it with me.

What is your email, I have designed one to go on a 1 7/8 or 50 mm ball. I will send it over and you can see if its what you want.

Should be in your email now

What scale is the Spandau machine gun? I am looking for 1/3 scale. Thanks, Norman

The scale is 1/8. Most 3d programs will be able to change the scale for you. To go from 1:8 to 1:3 just enlarge it by 8 times and then divide it by three.

Yes, I have nearly finished the entire Fokker Dr1 and will be uploading them soon.

Thanks. I will wait

Is there any way to download the entire Fokker DR.I as one download? What sources of information did you use to design this model?

Any other parts for Fokker?

Hi, not sure if you got my public message but yes. There is more to come doing the entire aircraft and will upload as I finish them.

Please disregard. I see I just had to re-download it.

I have uploaded the thickened top cowl

Thank you. How do i access the new version?

Would you also be able to do the same with your Fokker Dr1 top fuselage cover plate? I am not able to add wall thickness to prevent it from failing using the same profile as the cowling.

I'll let you know when its done.

Thats awesome. I very much appreciate your help. Thank you

Thank you.

Hi there again, I have dropped in a thickened 1:4 scale version of it for you. I ran it through a couple of slicers at 0.2 mm layer height and it gives about 8 layers at the top now. If you have any issues just let me know.

This is beautiful Jason! What suport do you suggest for a pla print? I havent been able to print thicker wall for my 1/4 scale, any tips?

Hi there, what I can do is thicken the model for you, that one was really designed for resin printers. I will let you know when I update the model and you should be able to download it again free of charge, if not let me know and I can email it to you directly.
