What dampeners for the lid are those in your YouTube vid?

Curious how people are fastening the top magnet plate to the lid. As printed, it has too much slop for a friction fit and the gap is to great for super glue. Any ides are appreciated. I've thought about a thin rubber piece wedged in, reprinting the part or even using the XL to print the part with a thin layer of TPU for a friction fit.

do not make it on 3 mm acrilic - ist too wooble - 6mm are more expensive but great !!!! look you have printer for 3-5 k Euros - 10% more and you have best enclousure EVER!!!!!!

FYI - Craftics in Albuquerque NM will supply and cut the Acrylic (1/4") for $250. They will also ship.

I am seeing people using Xometry for Acrylic. Most are in the $300 Range. Is that for 1/4" Acrylic or 1/8".

I just got a $788 quote from xometry.com for 0.25" thick acrylic parts for this. What am I doing wrong most likely? I uploaded the 9 DXF files then set the thickness to 0.25" for each part and adjusted the quantity to match the PDF.

I was able to cut my own parts and I only had to buy the material itself. You could look for a local vendor to make the parts and it might be cheaper. Or, I have uploaded a new 1/8" thick version that should be much cheaper.

The new quote came in under $300 for the 0.125 inch material thank you. Will the hardware need to be shortened?

So my total spent is $290-ish for acrylic, and $315 for the hardware. It took over 500g of NylonX to print the parts. The thermometer was $10.

I'm a 3D beginner and this is my first printer project (this enclosure build). The updated parts download for the 0.125" acrylic seems to have a couple problems. One is that the USB stick impedes the door closing so USB would need to be relocated. Another one is the hardware on the front doors (8 screws) need to be flatheads or countersunk it seems like because they keep the door from closing. The third one is that the parts along the bottom rail and the door hinge assemblies are printed 0.125" off so there is an air gap in the front doors. Are the .mf files for these parts all along the front rail and the hinges available to fix them?

Anyone know the part number for the thermometer? The BOM just stated purchase from Amazon. The acrylic sheet has a specifically sized hole.

I am in the process of getting some acrylic quotes. Hopefully I can located better prices than one of the other commenters here. I'm in the USA so it may be hard.

Be sure to check the cost for the acrylic panels. I got two quotes. Each was over $400. That stopped my project when you add in the cost of all the hardware. The printed parts turned out great, but they're going to the trash now....

The best quote I found was Xometry which came out to be $290 shipped. I was going to order as I thought this wasn't terrible. Then I learned that the exact hardware from McMaster was $270. With enough time I bet you could cut this cost by half buying elsewhere. I love the design but its just not worth it for me. The BOM needs to be cost optimized.

I got the acrylic from xometry for $265 ($50 promo code included) and then got most of the hardware from amazon and a few things from McMaster for a $200. So anyone looking to build this, be prepared it is about $500 total.

The BOM lists P-PLATE_MAGNET as an acrylic cut, but I dont see the DXF for that? Is P-PLATE_MAGNET a 3d print and just mis-labeled in the BOM?

My BOM lists it as a printed part (x4) so it must have got updated.
