Question about the Deinonychus foot. Is the articulated foot to life scale? I am printing this for use in our museum and want to be sure. If it's not, then how much larger does it need to be adjusted to be life size?

the articulated one is not to life-size scale, but the 'large solid' is, so you can resize all the parts to match the solid large one.
Your slicers numbers might all be different to mine, depending on which you use, but I gave it a try in Bambu Studio, and it looks like scaling up by 60% should be enough.
Just make sure to scale them all up at the same time, and turn on uniform scale, and change the X value in scale from 100 to 160. (Uniform scale should make the X, Y and Z scale up altogether).

Thank you!!! This is awesome, I can't wait to get this made for the kids

hey i have a resin printer and i want to make articulated dragons is there any model that is ok with resin printers?

i don't have a resin printer so cannot confirm if any I make will work for a resin printer.

Thank you very much! I am super excited to make this Metal Sonic. I plan on looking at the model first and messing with the scaling of some parts, make his boots and head bigger, arms a bit shorter, etc, as I plan to make a very large Metal anyway (may not result in much, since I am new to model sculpting and not familiar with STLs). This would only be for private use, as requested, but if anything decent comes out of it I'll be sure to show you.

you might need to make a stand for it if the head is going to be larger. (also i recommend PETG for the model. PLA makes the joints get 'loose' on its own without any use (nature of the material I think), my PETG model I've had for a few months is still nice and stiff.)

Thankee, this is super helpful! I do have a stand I can use for him as it is. I might also trim out the insides of some parts to add simple counterweights, kinda like the heavy boots the Jazwares Metal has.

Yeah, with my experience, PLA definitely loosens pretty easily. Something as simple as warmer temperatures is enough, depending lol

Hey, can you also equip normal figures with joints?
I have my dog as a stl file, and would like to have him with movable joints.

i can add this to my to-do list but it's a rather long list and you might be waiting a few months.

OK .warte gerne

hallo, ist ieser druck mit dem gcode zu drucken?

the gcode provided was made for Bambulab's X1C so it may not work on other brands machines. The raw STL's would be a better option if you don't have a Bambulab machine.

ok thanks

Hey I really like your dragon Mask but somehow the files seem to be damaged I cant open them in Curo nor 3D Viewer nor insert them as meshes in F360.

Cura says the files contain nothing 3D Viewer complains about a faulty file and so does F360

I have uploaded the raw STL files. Please note that the raw STL files are not cut up like the 3MF file, and you will need to manually adjust them to fit your printer. I do not use other slicers so cannot do this for you, sorry.

Hi, I was wondering if you could recommend a good 3D printer for someone who is just starting to find interest in it, preferably one for a more affordable price.

It's easy for me to say "use a BambuLab printer", because that's what I use now, but I highly recommend you start with something VERY basic, just to learn all the quirks and maintenance you'll end up doing with the more advanced machines.

I started out on a Creality Ender 3 Pro (V1) and had it for about 2 years before it died (it was used heavily). It was a good machine and taught me about dealing with bed adhesion, bed levelling, manual temperature setting, manual spool feeding, and a bunch of other useful things.
If you want a machine that's faster, has automatic bed levelling and temperature setting, and does multicolour, I would recommend the BambuLab A1 but only AFTER you've spent some time with a machine that doesn't do any of those things; you'll miss out on a great learning experience and if you have any of those basic issues using the A1, the forums at BambuLab/Makerworld won't be very helpful with troubleshooting them.

The V2 is on sale right now and is a decent price: https://store.creality.com/uk/uk/products/ender-3-v2-3d-printer

Alright, thank you so much!

Bonjour, pouvez vous mettre le STL s'il-vous-plaît ?

Car je n'arrive pas à ouvrir vos fichiers 3mf.

Merci beaucoup ^^

The Prusa 3mf should open in other slicers.

Could you please make your articulated dragons have an STL file or OBJ file too? If you can thank you so much. I really like your designs.

thanks
