Professional product designer, but doing this for fun. I started modelling caricatures of standard gauge mainline locos, but sized for 009 scale and intended to fit the inexpensive Kato pocket line chassis as a bit of fun during the Covid lockdowns. This has expanded to mini versions of popular narrow gauge locos and even a few sensible ones and other useful scenic items too.

do you have the class 60 stl file that can be used to make a class 60 that looks just like the proper loco as i am trying to build a 2.5 gauge people puller i have one but is nothing like the real loco and it looks like i may be another year before i can finally use my 3dmakerpro moose lite scanner to get the required stl file is there any way you can help
Hello Dave, I just wanted to thank you for your modelling items. I was looking back and found a 009 Beyer Peacock that used to be advertised on the other place before it ceased trading.
Do you still have the files for it as I would love to buy a couple of those Manx Peacocks.

Hi, yes I do have the mini Mk3 coaches, but Cults needs a photo of them to be able to upload the STL. I'll get round to it one day! In the meantime, the Power cars were intended to match the profile of an L&B coach or a GVT coach. My original intention when I designed it was they'd run with a long string of 4 wheel GVT coaches.

Hi, I'm afraid I can't update the designs now. That loco looks like it could be 'bashed' from the old eggerbahn decauville. I've definitely seen one onthe Facebook 009 modellers group.

Hi, no I wouldn't recommend using a filament printer for them, you'd lose a lot of detail.
Hi David, I run 3D printing for charity. All my profits from sales at model railway shows and toy n train fairs goes to the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. I was wondering if you would allow me to print and sell your loco bodies to help raise funds for this charity? I only sell at shows and train fairs, i do not sell online, as this is a hobby and not a full time job. I only claim my expenses and not a penny more for myself. i look forward to your reply

Hello David, I recently printed a couple of your Tramway Garratts for a customer. The parts came out well and the models look very substantial for 009! From a printer's point of view, using a polyjet printer it would be easier to clean out the boiler section if the smokebox door was a separate part. We also wondered about making some adjustment to the rear pivot position to be sure of getting round small radius curves. Perhaps also leaving a socket for the user's choice of couplings instead of a built-in hook? Anyway, my customer seems very pleased with them and I am looking forward to seeing some finished pictures. Best wishes, Tim.

Thanks for your feedback on the Garratt, unfortunately I do not have the file any more, so it is what it is until I re-model it completely.
A bit of a long shot, do you still have the file for my Ruston 20DL in 7mm scale? Chris used to sell them, but I have also lost that file too! It was actually the first bit of CAD modelling I successfully did using the software that I have now used daily for the past 10 years, so it would be nice to have a copy again!

Thanks for your reply. It sounds like a few people would be interested in an easy-to-assemble 009 Garratt, so it may indeed be worth remodelling at some stage.

Hi Ian, yes I have designed some caricature Mk3 coaches to go with the power cars. They use Peco L&B coach bogies and have separate detailed interiors. However Cults requires a photo of the item before it can be offered for sale, which I am currently lacking. I need to get one printed and painted up mysel for the photo but at the moment I have other projects on the go. I'll get to it eventually!
