Sir; Bought the 30mm Swallow in 0I/07/2025 . Just now tripped over the 40mm Xfy 'upgrade' . Having an Idle xfly 40 Was wondering if I could get the upgraded version files. No idea if this is an automatic Cults upgrade OR if I needs pay for it again? I I needs pay again ? Might I get away with a reduced price ? Did have a computer issue a while ago which messed my Email accounts. So any upgrade files may not have had a viable address though . Am Sending My email addresses to Admin ....
You may certainly download the files again as many times as you like, no extra charge!! If you still have problems I will be happy to send the files, butCults have set up their system so you can reload the paid files any time, including upgrades…. Cheers, Graham
I am not sure how to use the Prusa slicer and I tried the g code it wouldn’t work
I think your best bet then would be to use the slicer you are used to, and refer to the table on page 3 of the Gnat Assembly manual to try to replicate the slicing settings used in the original model
I use my phone to slice the home unit is missing a program and won’t work

OK, I think you can find K1 profiles for Prusa slicer online- you may have to import the .3mf as an object rather than a project, then adjust your settings to suit…
Oh forgot to mention it is a 30mm knat
Will have a look and see if I can work out what’s going on . Do you have 3 top layers selected in the Cura slicer?
I just had a look at the .3mf again in Prusa and it slices no problem. Possibly what you are experiencing is a Cura issue? Is it possible to use Prusa slicer or print the G-code directly?
Also, I just opened the elevators in Cura 5.5 and it sliced fine........I believe that somewhere in your settings in Cura there may be an issue - you could try printing it in two perimeters and see if that makes a difference perhaps........
So I have been trying to print the elevators for the Folland Knat but as they reach the end of the print the slot for the hinge won’t print leaves a gap at the end of the Elevators I have tried multiple settings and it doesn’t work I think there’s something wrong with the file I am using cura slicer 3mf. File everything thing else printed great just don’t have Elevators
I’m not sure what’s going on but will check the files - what printer are you using?
Hi Jim, I'm just in the middle of uploading the latest versions of the Swallow including the 40mm version - please give it an hour or so then you can load the newest files....as you have already purchased you can do this as many times as you like. Hello, I just downloaded the update on the Gnat. I’m mid-process to resize the STEP version to 40mm using Shapr3D, and it looks like there may be a fuselage section missing behind the canopy. Can you supply? Many thanks in advance.

Ok - I just downloaded the STEP files from Cults to check and they open up fine for me -all parts are there.....the fuselage section behind the canopy that is F2 in the model is in several overlapping parts - not one contiguous part in the CAD files.
I'm not sure how Shapr3D does with the STEP import but maybe there is an issue with some of the settings....

Digging a little deeper, it looks like there’s a skin section missing from the forward part of the turtleneck in brep_9. BTW -I’m super impressed with your digital modeling and layout skills. Gorgeous little model in a super-condensed little package!
Glad you like the Gnat! Thanks for the extra info - I've just had a closer look at the STEP file and it seems to have added a flat section along the intersection of the top hatch and the fuselage proper That's not in the original model). For me, I was able to explode the top hatch then delete the flat strip in brep_9 which was not supposed to be there. All the other bits were there....if that doesn't work for you please let me know and maybe I can try posting the parts individually. Cheers, Graham
Also, I've added a Version 2 STEP file to the download package which I think will remove the offending part in brep_9. It's called STEP_GnatV2
OK, I identified another problem with the way the STEP files converted the CAD - so a Version 3 of these STEP files have been added to the download which I think should open cleanly for most users......if any parts are still causing problems try exploding any offending blocks and deleting the irrelevant faces.

I haven't seen the problem you describe before in the MiG but I have seen this issue described on the Simplify3D troubleshooting page. I think it's a layer shift issue.

First of all, I love your models, The Swallow is especially cool.
I have printed your Mig 15, The edf mount is absolute genius. Hot gluing a edf into a printed tube just didn't seem very accurate.
Now for my problem. The aileron and elevator files on the Mig will not print correctly. They repeatably fail around the 85% point or just about the middle of the outboard hinge slot. I have attempted printing these at least 10 times with both PLA-LW and PLA+... Same failure.
Today I monitored the print through the failure point. It appears that both prints offset the top 1/2 inch by around 1/16 inch sideways.
I checked the sliced files and scanned each layer. The fault is not apparent in the slice.
I can not identify the problem. Is it my setup? Or possibly something in the STL? Or something I haven't seen before?
I can make it work, I still know how to sand balsa.
Just curious if anyone else have commented on this.

Hi - the CG position is shown in the photograph in the construction manual included with the download - around page 26 or 27 depending on your PDF reader. The position is on the front of the "bubble" on the top of the wing. If anything, slightly forward is OK too. Not behind for first flights. Have fun!!!
How are you doing I am working on building the 30mm Gloster Meteor with a K1 Creality what exactly are the settings for this model please
I'm not currently using any of the new generation of core x-y printers like the K1 Creality, so I'm afraid I can't answer that question directly.....
I would suggest though that you ask that question directly of the RCGroups forum, as there are builders there with experience printing LW-PLA models on these types of printers.

Here are the links - please check the dimensions very carefully in the screenshots in the assembly manual, as the pages linked below have many different items on the same page.
You need the 80mm long main struts with 4mm bore, and 140mm high nose leg with 4mm bore.

I haven't heard of this problem with F1 before, but am keen to find a solution. I don't have a set of print profiles for the Bambu slicer but am guessing there is something in your profile that is conflicting with the way Prusa slices the model.
If you could please send me a photo of what you are seeing and/or screenshots of the print settings you are using that would be helpful.

First of all, I love your Swallow. Nice size, well designed. Remember this jet in the Brit movie “Breaking the Sound Barrier” .
I am using Bambu Lab for the slicer and a P1C to print.
I keep getting drop out in Fuse1. It’s missing the top portion of the intake chins.
Is this issue unique to me?
I’ve tried reloading the file, re-downloading the file, tried the test file… same thing.
I’m still relatively new to 3d, is there a work around or a way to manipulate the file to recognize the missing area?
If all else fails, there is always balsa to fill in.

I've gone through my computer hard drives and Have Not found any recent Cults file updates certainly not for the DH 108. Did receive the Gnat updates; 27 sept 2025..though.. V odd. Cults also seems to have No listed record of the DH108 download /purchase though...Also toally missing Other of my Cults Purchased RC model files. Again Very odd... as I do have the 108 File in my hard drive (s)
The missing Sales records in Cults .. confuses.. in a word.
Far more worrying than any thoughts on My having messed my Email accounts..
No record..also neatly explains the lack of Update.
