Any update on the handle for the flail?
Hi, still solving an issue with the handle design. In the moment I upload it, I'll notify you
Okay brilliant, fingers crossed you get it sorted soon!
Hi! I just finished the handle desing and it's available for you to download :) Just go to the Nazgul Flail page (or the Combo pack) and download agail the files
Amazing! Thank you
Thanks!
I’ve ordered the witching flail from cults3d and found one of the key way holes on the middle 1-4 is partially obstructed in the model itself.
Hi, I am so sorry to hear about that. Please, can you tell me which one so I can fix it and upload it again? I mounted the flail by pieces and didn't notice anything strange, although I ended up not using the holes in the side faces, I mean those to connect one middle 1-4 piece to another. I used: the top ones, the bottom ones, and the center ones to connect to the kernels.
Hey, I checked the desing and found the problem you're saying. A little node in the mesh of the hole somehow dissapeared causing the obstruction error. Now it's fixed. Thanks for your support, and sorry for the inconvenience. Please, go to the desing page and download it again (is free for you as you already purchased it, don't worry). You'll find that now there is a piece called 1_4 middle part_v1.1.stl that replaces the previous one.
Hi where did you get the under armour glove also I'm planning to rivet everything together instead of stitching also I'll be using velcro to connect armour to glove
I remember I bought the cheapest leather black gloves I could find on Amazon, it was like 10 dollars. About rivets, the holes in the hand pieces are made for that purpose, although I did the rivets myself melting some filament (you can see a tutorial in one of the links in the description). I didn't try velcro for connecting to the glove but I think is a good idea, I would like to see the results.
Brilliant although I'm using steel rivets with small plastic washers the Velcro will probably be only to hold armour to arm I'll post pics when all done.
hi I just bought the witch king gauntlet but is missing the part of the hand , can you help me ?
Hi, sorry for the misunderstanding, this design only contains the arm part because it's an extra to my other design: Nazgul Gauntlet (this one is the hand and the arm). It's intended to be downloaded only if you already have the hand part, either because you downloaded my other design or because you used a third party gauntlet. You can have a refund if you want it.
Good morning.
The rendered image of the gauntlet attached to the bracer for your newer version of the witch king gauntlet looks a bit different and more 'elegant' from the one you link as being the same. I was wondering if that was a simplified model or if that is a gauntlet version that you are currently working on?
cheers and good work!
Hey, thanks for purchasing.
Maybe is the effect of the render in blender, it achieves to make everything look shiny and perfect, but I assure you they are the same files. Basically, at the very moment I finished the models I made those rendered pictures just to see how it looked.
However, I don't like renders, they can't show actually how the final product is going come up, specially when we talk about 3d printing. I'll have the renders images replaced by real photos of the final result printed and painted soon.
By the way, you are right, this could be seen like the version I'm working on now. Happens that I updated more than ten times the original (Nazgul Gauntlet), with several versions, improvements, etc. until I got what you can purchase now. When I came up with the idea of updating the arm part, I though that maybe it would be a good moment to let the Nazgul Gauntlet model be just as it was, because it was finished and lot of people loved it that way, included me. For that reason, I started this new desing's branch, a separate model that could complement the original without perverting it. So from now on, I'll update this one :)
I see, so just to clarify you willl be updating only the arm part from now on? or are you going to make another design for the gauntlet?
...and how in the world does step 1 of the treasure planet sphere solution work? None of the parts on the rotating base interact with the panels to remove the small panel.
Yes, it works just by rotating the pieces. When you rotate, due to the little friction between the pieces, the special piece with the small rail receives a pressure in both sides that makes it to pop out at the specific moment when it is located in the square hole. So, just rotate the pieces around the sphere, slowly, and it's going to pop out. That's the first step.
I'm requesting a refund for this model. I have wasted several hours and wasted over $15 in resin getting this to connect properly. I even went and manually cut aspects of the objects that had problems fitting and lightly lowered their scale and they still will not fit even with hand trimming areas down. Very disappointed. At first I thought it was my fault due to warping issues caused by lack of proper supports but even my reprints that have no warping are not fitting properly.
Magic Box Treasure Planet is the print
Try it with FDM and pla filament, is designed for that, as it is clearly specified in the post. No need for post processing at all.
I do not have an FDM printer and the file description doesn't say it requires FDM. The pieces did not fit properly in the slightest via resin and I wasted countless hours trying to make them fit with a Dremel tool.

Hi, tengo una pequeña impresora 3d. ¿Cuál es el Tamaño máximo de la pieza? ¿Y es posible pagar, por ejemplo, en Bitcoins?
Mi printer is small-medium size, is 20cmx20cmx20, and it's more than enough to print any of the pieces. Knowing that, and also looking at the picture where I show the orientation I used to print the pieces in the slicer software ( I use Cura), you can have an idea. But just to ensure, the biggest piece is 16.5 cm long (the arm piece). The rest are small pieces (basically the size of the width of your hand).
About the payment, I don't think you can pay in Bitcoins. Just the payment methods supported in Cults :)
Hi :)
I recently bought your Nazgul Gauntlet and I was wondering how did you connect the pieces to the glove itself?
Thank you
Hi!
For those pieces located on the top of the hand I used rivets. I made 2 holes (with the same diameter of the rivets) in the end of the pieces (one on each side) and used rivets both to connect the adjacent pieces together and to attach the pieces to the glove (it was neccesary to make holes in the glove as well). For the pieces of the fingers, I used nylon thread, making it go through the tiny holes of the pieces and through the glove, and then making a knot so it keeps attached. In addition to that, you can put some glue to ensure the pieces stay in the correct position and they don't rotate.
Hope it's useful!
Hi!
I am writting to you because I am a huge fan of Treasu Planent. My always dream, have been to be able to move the key that movie, until now. The problem is that I just recently purchaise a 3d printer and I dont have much money, so for me 20€ is not affordable. Can you make me a discount please? I would understand perfectly the negative answer. But it generares on me a lot or expectation. Me aim isnt to under value you or your amazing work. Thats for everithing.
With your most recent puzzle ball, everything prints with supports? Looks possible to print with resin at 50% scale, what do you think?
Actually, half of the pieces don't need any supports. Morover, I used cura to automatically generate the supports with those wich needed it, and didn't have any problems printing. After all, I made the design in such a way that it was as easy to print as possible. About printing with resin at 50% scale, I think it would work great, taking into account that 3D printing in resing is much more accurate than the traditional method.
Hello friend,
For the gauntlet build would you be able to tell me what size gloves you wear. I’m trying to kinda make a guess on where I need to scale this to. I figured if we both wore about the same size glove it would be close enough.
Thank you for your assistance and man what an amazing job you did on this
Hi! Thanks for appreciate my job. Actually, I don't know much about gloves' sizes, but I did some research and found that it depends on the hand width, in the knuckle area. So I measured it just where the fingers connect the hand and got a small size (man). In fact, I remember I bought for this project a new globes and they were for women (XL size). Hope this help you, good luck!
Hey, the Handle Bottom File for the flail has a slicing issue and creates a problem where there is free floating infill surrounded by a 1 wall thick outer shell.. Not sure if you can correct this issue https://ibb.co/Z6fK3PQv
It seems to be a non-Manifold issue with the mesh
Hey! Thank you for letting me know. I'll check it out and upload the fixed part.
Hi again, I've been checking the mesh and everithing seems okey. Also my slicer (using Cura) is not having the same problem: https://ibb.co/9kf6S8Rw .Maybe is a configuration problem, but I just want to be sure. I'm remeshing that file with a little modifications that maybe could fix your problem, but because it seem's to work for all the people that have tried to print it so far, can you give me your email address so I can send you this personalized modified file version? I donw want to mix it with the ones published in Cults until I am 100% sure it works fine.
I remeshed the file in Blender and was able to get it to work! Thank you for your help! I'm all set
Oh. I'm glad to hear that! If the problem comes back, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll work on it;)
