I'm printing your evangelion simulator with resin, do i need glue or it will fit nicely?. If i need glue, is there a file where it's the whole thing
yeah it definitely needs glue and ideally some pins, like any large resin kit would, but its booleaned so that it fits together pretty great. by the whole thing you mean as one solid single mesh? well i made this file, and designed it thinking no one would have a printer large enough for that, but i can export a single model version if you want. i really never even though to do that just from the scale that i wanted it at.
I was looking at your Space Elf Nightshade Stealthfighter + Scarlet, and I got a plastic version from GW and it came without the "plus" part that actually connects the model to the flight stand. Do you happen to have an STL for that part? I am willing to pay for just that part as I have access to a 3D printer. Thanks!
hey, yeah i actually made a boolean part for the + flight stand adapter right after i did that model, at first i just dremeled it in for mine, and cause i wasnt sure how people would do theirs, but now im pretty sure the + is the way to go and i do have a way to do that now so ill get that up here today

oh its just gonna be a cut out in the fuselage of that kit for real flight stands with + pegs, i got some 3rd party ones off amazon for cheap. i wouldn't trust putting that thing over a printed stand
i think i misunderstood at first, i haven't made an actual flight stand, and at first mine didn't even have the cutout for them, but i just added some + shape cutouts to both fuselages. i would recommend using real solid plastic parts for the stand, wither injection molded or laser cut sheets, just for that extra guaranteed strength.
Is there any way I can acquire your space elf line? I was hoping to get everything in the combat patrol box and yours are the only ones that actually looked good to me.
like a big bundle of them all? I've been needing to re-upload some old ones that people want, so I'll go through and do a full set for them too, it'll just take a sec to get that all set up, not all will be pre-supported right away but ill have the files up by tonight, starting that now.
actually, ill have that up tomorrow asap. Zbrush has been crashing all day on me trying to go through all the files and make sure they're good and get a full render of them all, just finally got a ZTool of them all in one scene, so expect that sometime tomorrow.

as of right now no. and i have no idea why, it was removed without any notice. i don't think there's any reason i shouldn't be able to re upload it but im gonna be cautious and re design it. im currently working on 2 non tabletop model right now, but after those are done i'll probably be going back to the usual.

hey yeah i can try to do that when i have some time this weekend. i used my gen 1 photon as a reference point for small printers, didn't realize they started making them smaller than that. is it just the fuselage you're having issues with?

I fixed the assassin model but down see how I can upload it. Isn't it possible or do I have to load it as a make?
what do you mean "fixed", there should be nothing wrong with it. according to the usage right you may remix it and upload your own remix with attribution.
The thighs had a strange shape and the aerial around left ear had a mesh problem when I sliced with Chitu or even Prusa or Cura.

oh, you know, those slicers may have found a part of headgear mesh that had reversed normals, a zbrush IMM just wouldnt do it any other way and it was so small that i never bothered to do anything about it because lychee just removed it from what i could see, i may need to look at that on my end, thanks for the intel

I bought these and regretfully the sniper rifles are super thin and break all the time. ended up throwing all the prints away since over time their guns broke. Would be an easy fix to thicken the guns so theyre stronger.

Hi what scale should be used for the space elf longwatcher?
looks like i scaled mine to 250.53% but that was before the update and scaled for for a 25mm base, not sure if they got moved up to 28mm like the rest, but if they did you could maybe add a millimeter or 2
Hmm, I've just tried that scale in chitu and it seems massive compared to he 25mm base, the stone hangs over edge. They still use the 25mm base. Does your program show the dimensions in mm at all so I can check mine?
Yeah, so I'm seeing a X:42mm/Y:25.66mm/Z:59.99mm. ill export and upload it and the pre supported version
Those are the measurements I get as well so I can rule my crappy setup out at least. The scale still seems to be off for me, I did some measurements with an online tool (https://eleif.net/photomeasure) and it suggests that the model should be 40mm height or there about. hey on your space elf spirit dudes, do you just have the gun as a seperate piece? I need the tip of the gun for kit bashing but i dont need the whole model
so on the "spirit defenders" they are all pre posed with their gun in hand, but the "spirit lord/seer builder" set has all the gun options for that type of unit separate for kit bashing purposes
I looked at that's preview but i didnt see the correct gunhead. Does it have the same head as the spirit defenders? that split type head? cause thats what I need
no, those are not in that set as they cant use them, its like a flamer type weapon i think, i haven't made that available separate yet, give me a sec and ill just upload that one gun for free, ill message you when its up

i think you could do this in slicer by just assembling the parts before supporting/slicing, and just leave the crew out (im assuming you're referring to the support weapon). I think in doing so it will need even more supports on top of some surfaces, which is not ideal, but when i get around to the 1.8 update i will include something like this.
Hey, I downloaded your Commando Ork Boy (Which looks great by the way) but the file seems to be HUGE for the model's size. It keeps crashing when I try to load it. Any chance of a more manageable version?
hey there, that one is pretty old and ive gotten a little bit better at modeling for STLs since then. its probably has an insane polycount and is maxing out your ram, i can decimate that to around 600kpoly and it should work then, it also might not be manifold so ill get that while im at it, i can't guarantee that the scale will be perfect, but ill see what i can do, got a bit of running around i have to do today so just give me a sec but i should have that fixed by tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. if you want a better free model to print in the meantime, my "Actually Free Assassin" is of a much higher quality.

Hello, I just bought them and they are great. My question is, why the crew member is not scaled as the others parts ?
are the presupported guys not scaled? i dont think ive uploaded re scaled unsupported models, but the presupported ones should be at least scaled to fit on the platform. ill take a look and fix that here today when i can sorry about that, but take another look just in case, they should be there and scaled to fit. i should put a disclaimer that i dont have any official models to check scale against and im a game artist, not a figure artist by trade, so my stuff isnt going to be as high quality as someone who knows figure print modeling more than i, so they will probably never be 1:1 to exact official height, but yeah give me a sec and i will give that a look here today
Yep there is the supported one, but if the print fail you should add the "good scaled unsupported one". But it is not a big issue, and congrats : the models are really cool :)
