Hi, I purchased the Dark Vader vase plant and after I slice the model, Bambu Slicer, it appear to have layer shift and the depth of the vase change a lot. What could be wrong?

Hello! I didn't find the error, It works for me with Bamboo slicer OK. But, it could be some problem with the stl i uploaded to Cults3D - so, please check the new version i uploaded today. Hope it works better!

Let me check this ... DW planter should be an free model or "open priced" (donation). You can just skip the payment or pay 0. Maybe you can download from another browser if Cults is trying something funny?

Hi Holger! Unfortunately I don't have higher resolution STL for this model. It was made in FreeCAD and exported in best resolution possible. What kind of problem you have when printing - do you notice faces or triangles?
I could possibly try to re-make this model in Blender or better CAD software... but after few weeks from now. Please remind me if I forget ... I'm traveling, and my mind if jet-lagging 😂

Hi. Just love you kochi planter. I'm very new to this and while the bowl is perfect I got a little bit of stringing and the lotus is very rough. Can you please suggest what I need to change to make it perfect

Hi Alisonj,
It depends a lot on the printer itself, the type of extruder and the quality of the filament - but generally speaking the problems can be avoided by:
- reducing the print speed (40-45 mm/s)
- increasing the travel speed (depending on the printer)
- increasing the feed distance (1--5 mm)
- setting the right temperature for your filament
- reducing the flow rate...

Hello,

Is it possible to buy from you two models of containers, but I need them to be without decorations, without these contours around, that means only a container with a lid without decorations on the sides and, if possible, files for solidworks :)

Buongiorno Gionico! Thank you for contacting us.
Yes, this vase really needs support on the middle (as noted in description) and it cannot be printed in vase-mode. Thickness of the walls and bottom are uniform 3,2 mm so it is really sturdy. If you are using SOLID model, try setting your printer to following:
* Wall Line Count: 4
* Top layers: 0 (zero)
* Bottom layers: 8
* Infill density: 0% (zero)
* Support: Yes 15% zigzag everywhere

This way you will get heavy model with thick walls (and watertight).
Please try...

Now, I know this is one "advanced" model, and if it doesn't work for you I understand, and we can do 2 things:

Would you be in to teach me on how to design like this? Ive always been amazed by designs like this. You are far out the best Ive seen and I cant seem to find anyone being able to explain to me what program to use, what steps to take, etc…

I'm using Blender, Fusion 369 and FreeCad (free software) to build most of my models. I would recommend to start with tutorials on Youtube like:

With this simple techniques you will be able to design almost any kind of vases, pots and planters... and soon you will learn how to use simple functions to manipulate points/vertices, edges and faces to create almost anything you can imagine.

For mechanical elements i can recommend FreeCad or Fusion360, where you can start with drawing and precise measures and work to model which fits your mechanical design.

Hello! The temperature depends on the material that you are using. Please check the box of your filament and you will find manufacturer recommended temperatures. For PLA material the nozzle temperature should be ~190-210 C and the bed temperature is usually ~60 C 👍

Hi.

There is only one file and it is not an open topped vase.
When i print, it has multiple layers blocking the top.

Any thoughts?

Hi CHRISSMITH7, This vase "VASE 0067 - TURBINE VASE" is for vase-mode printing only. Due to the complicated geometry, this model cannot be made with internal walls and an open top. I tried many times. So there is no other way but to print it in vase mode ... with a nozzle as thick as possible - 0.8-1.0 mm.
But if I manage to make a vase with inner walls and an open top, I will update this model and let you know 👍

We have started publishing commercial license for some of our models, under CULTS CU-ND License. We have only few models (for now) released under this licence here: https://cults3d.com/en/design-collections/Namu3D/commercial-license

We are slowly adding commercial licenses for more models, but If you have a model from non-commercial collection that you wish to be added fast - please send me a PM and I will convert this model first.

Please note: For some models, the exclusive production rights have already been sold to the production company, so we will not be able to grant commercial licenses for ALL of our models.
