Hi,

I saw your models for ships and airships and they are really good. I'm making a small run of mini wargames for my mates and family this year. I need 5 models designed and I know the sizes I need. I have some different people working on artwork so would you rather design from scratch or work off an image to model?

We have 3 species of pirates. Not sure if we should make generic boats and just change the sails like you did or make unique boats for all of them?

Anything else you need to know?

I know this isn't much but if you are interested then I'll explain more.

Hello, Hope you are well. I firstly want to say thank you for all the 3D models you have made. I have printed several of them to play for games of DND and they all came out really well. I am planning on opening an etsy shop where I sell printed mimis and I wanted to ask if it would be ok to pint some of your to sell. Any of your models that sell I would of course make a donation to you and would also be giving you credit in the listing with a link to your page here. Please let me know if that is ok with you or if you would prefer me not to pint any of yours.

I’m glad to hear that you enjoy my work. Unfortunately I’m going to have to ask that you not sell prints of my designs simply because I’m already selling them out of my own Etsy shop. I wish you luck getting your Etsy business off the ground.

I completely understand. Not a problem at all. I have just had a look at your shop and see you are based in the USA. I am in the UK so if that plays any factor in your considerations we could potentially collaborate to save on international shipping costs which deter the European market.

That would make sense. I’m currently getting hardly any orders from Europe, presumably because of high shipping costs.

Hey Mechatronicist:
I bought your Xebec sailing airship and FDM printed right away. When I removed the suports, I noticed that the holes for the mast and the wings were much too small (the masts about 7.2mm and the holes in the hull only 5mm) At first I thought that the sails would have to be scaled down separately so that they would fit, but then the ratio would no longer be good.
I'm just going to enlarge the holes with a drill now.
I just wanted to let you know and I hope you can correct it for future customers.

I’m glad to hear you're enjoying my work. I’ve been making the pokemon figures for someone who's been commissioning me. I don't have any more currently but I am almost done making a hoopa unbound figure for them and they have expressed interest in hiring me to make more in the future. Part of the deal is that I get to share the files to promote my work so you can look forward to seeing more of these uploaded to my Cults page.

Adding finger puppet holes to the bottom of the ones I’ve already made would be so trivially easy I wouldn't change for it.

If you want me to design a new one from scratch I would change somewhere around $75-$150(US). The exact amount depends on the complexity of the pokemon.

Hi, I bought your Spider robot! It's very cute, but the dormant one its broken.. :( lychee cant fixe it, and neither can meshmixer without breaking the spider eye... I try to fix it myself in blender but it take my alot of time that I don't have right now. Can you please help me? The other two are fine btw!

I’ve fixed and updated it. If you download it again it should be the fixed version. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and my apologies for the mistake. I managed to go this long without noticing because the software I’m using just sliced it without even mentioning that there might be a problem.

Can you make a file for the 58mm button badge photo stand backing part?

I think a 3d printed version of this is probably doable. I do have some concerns. In order to design something that is actually compatible with a badge making machine I would need parts to base the dimensions off of and a machine to test it on. I have a 2 ¼ inch Badge a Minute machine but if your machine is a different brand I’m not confident that a Badge a Minute compatible part will work with it.

The other thing to consider is that this would be a commission I would charge you for and I would charge more than the pack of 100 costs.

I love your take on the Grimbart, are there any plans to increase the collection with other Iron Harvest Mechs?

Thank you. I'm always glad to hear people are enjoying my work. I do like the more grounded steampunk/dieselpunk aesthetic of things like Iron Harvest so I probably will make more models like that at some point. At the moment I am working on designs to use in a Spelljammer game I’m currently playing so the next few things I release are going to be more ships and things along those lines.
