I accidently bought the wrong model. Any chance we change it ?
Hi, what model did you buy and what model did you want?
bought the ender 5 version. I should buy the ender 3 version.
I haven't done a shroud for Ender 3 even tho it might fit. Not sure which one you are referring to?
i really messed up. Let me sort out my head and i will let you know.
Is it working for voron v0.2, too?
Honestly don't know.
Hi - I made the Ender 5 with MicroSwiss Extruder cooler. My concern is the front is going to hit the frame. Have you had an issue with this? I made it, and want to install over the weekend. Just concerned I'm going to hit the front when I do. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you
Bruce Dale
Hi, are you thinking about the fan shroud hitting the frame? I haven't had any issues with that. If you haven't done any other mods that changes either the X-carriage or front aluminum positions it won't hit the frame. If you using a 4020 fan for cooling it will be pretty close in height but it won't crash.
Hello. Can you please share what carriage you used with the MGN9 rail on the V0.1. Im not sure how the belts attach. Thanks
I have this one but pretty sure you can print the one for MGN9 from the Voron usermods even if it may be a little more flimsy.

pertaining to the fan shroud for microswiss direct drive. first: I love that you have it use the same fan for both end cooling and part cooling. second: I love your design requirements. third: you said it was for the ender 5 pro. I have the ender 5 plus, would it (likely) work? I would assume it should work since microswiss says to use the same kit for 5, 5pro, 5+. was planning to make a custom part cooler for my ender 5 plus using the hero me set up. but my experience is not with organic modeling. so to make a nice part cooler like you designed ends up looking like crap and/or would take me a lot of time
Hi and thanks! I am not sure if it will fit the 5 plus version and I think it could be a different back plate but not 100% sure. But you can print the mount i have for another type of fang, it is the same measurements on the holes and its free, if that one fits this one should to. Link down below. If not you can just make a custom part that the cowling/shroud mounts on, it is not beutiful as it is... lol

assembling it now. I have to say you are really good at your design. the hot end cooler lines up so good I didn't notice while getting the duct on. I love the room for adjustment, breaking it down so it isn't one solid piece. sorry if it sounds like gushing, just so relieved that I spent money on fantastic files.
I did have a question: for the hot end cooler duct why not put a little material so M3 nuts could be used? or make the holes small enough that M3 hardware could be used but make their own threads? I am glad you made this and if I ever get another ender 5 (plus) I know I will use it again
Thanks again! Not really sure I follow, do you mean for the hotend cooler fan or the mount to the actual shroud? Either way the to mount the fan, threads in the plastic weight less, less fiddle and will hold the fan without being work out. Use a M4 tap for best result. To mount it on the shroud I found that you'll might wear them out. it's just two and the material is pretty thin and to keep the weight down I used M3 nuts.
Also, I just use two M4 for the fan, so if you rip the threads when mounting it you stl have two spares lol.
just figure if the hole was smaller then all the hardware requirements would be the same, M3. can't wait to fire it up though. looks awesome
True, I just did this for myself from the beginning and the holes on the fans was better for M4 so I just went for that. Might update this one day. Thx for the feedback. Hope this will serve you well! Would be nice to see some pictures.
understandable. I only have M3. though seems more and more like I have to get M2.5 for these small things. was planning on getting M5 for big builds. might as well get M4. just have to figure out how to send you pictures. the hero me is free, but the big problems I had was no axial fan option (had to design my own), they wanted to shove the hot end out when there is no need to, and for the ender 5 there is no way to get the belt on without cutting it to make it work, which would have meant no BLTouch. hopefully I can get the control box of the ender 5 plus running by the end of the weekend so I can get the hot end on and start calibrating. had to make adapters to make things work. a bit of a Frankenstein's monster, but it was $250 instead of $600
You can do a "make" and post some pics.
Hello. I purchased this, FAN SHROUD FOR MICRO-SWISS DIRECT DRIVE (ENDER 5), and in the files there are two parts that are normal and a V4. Looking at them, I can't see the difference. What is the difference?
Hi there, the V4 is just version 4 of the shroud, just a few minor adjustments to make it easier to print. Some angles and corners are changed. So just use the V4. Best of luck.
Hello! I like the fan duct that you made for the ender 5, although I wanted to know if you could possibly make a different version to have a larger fan (60mm fan) and possibly have it work with the stock ender 5 hotend housing. I would be more than happy to pay for the new design. If it's too complicated to make it work with the stock housing but really easy to use with a different printable housing I'd be fine with that as well. Thanks!
