Re: Transformers G1 Jetfire VF-1A Head Macross Robotech part. Have you made any other of the original head sculpts. Im specifically looking for D. Well done on this btw. I look forward to putting it on one of my jetfires and painting it :).

Thanks. I don't have any plans to make a D, but I might make a J if I can buy an original 1/55 to take measurements

Have you done leg armor? or any other kits that you are selling stls for? the leg armor Ive been looking for for a long butt time.

I made models for the entire set of Jetfire armor. I sell Arm Guards, Leg Clips and the backpack/center guard on Ebay. The STL's are not for sale.

Thank you.

Is the File for the Robotech Bioroid Invid guns all four version? Also Do you do the Power Armoured Zentradi 6' guns?

Thank you,

Jordan Hodge

The Bioroid Guns listing has all 4 versions. You can see the names of all four files on the right hand side under the 3D Design Format heading. My Male Powered Armor models are holding the appropriate pistol, however, they were not designed for the 6 inch Matchbox toys.

is this for 1/55 scale? Armored Valkyrie GBP Veritech COMBO Macross Robotech RPG Tactics

No. Robotech RPG Tactics is scaled to 1/285

do you have a 1/55 scaled version that is for sale?

No

Hello. I have been watching your restoration videos on YouTube. Did you ever create the GBP Armor set STL file for sale? Thank you again for all of your hard work! I also was looking for the decal sets you show, but could not find them. Though not much on social media so I might just have missed them.

Sorry, my GBP files are not available for download. Occasionally I will print a set and sell them on Ebay at this link https://www.ebay.com/itm/236006258699. I stopped selling the stickers, the effort was not worth the reward.

Hello, have these been tested with resin printers? Just wondering how smooth the polygons around the nose cone looks. Also, do you sell the non-super versions?

If anyone has printed my models in resin, they haven't shared it with me, either good or bad. My models are manifold (no holes), so your resin printer should be able to handle the files. Printing at the Robotech RPG Tactics scale of 1/285 puts the Valkyries at 1.5 to 2 inches tall, where any polygon issues are typically too small to notice. The only non-super Valkyries that I offer are the Strike versions with the shoulder cannon.

I'm guessing I could. Transformers Jetfire and the Robotech version from the 80s is 1:55 scale so its just bigger. Let me ask some friends with a 3d printer if they could help me figure it out. Thanks for the reply.

Good day. I am wondering if this head can be scaled down to fit a 1:60 Arcadian Vertiech? I want to customize one and need this style head.

I don't own anything at 1/60 scale, so I don't know. You are welcome to modify and rescale this item however you want for personal use.

Hey Mate,

Just wanted to let you know that Stavros Kostopoulos / Blue Arrow II / BlueArrow.gr is up to his old tricks again trying to sell 3D prints of your files on his website and Facebook page.

I have tried multiple times to contact him through different email addresses and accounts but he has failed to reply

I have reported a number of his posts on face book and got my files removed for his Etsy page.

I suggest you do the same.

here are some of his links

Kind regards
Mecha Miniatures.

Thanks. I've been unable to make him stop. The best we can do is continue to remind him that what he is doing is wrong. The more people that tell him that, the better. Maybe someday he will learn right from wrong.

after emailing him and messaging him on Facebook with no reply, he reported some of my posts to Facebook claiming that he is the creator of my 3D models.

hola. quiero mi dinero de vuelta. el modelo 3d, esta muy mal hecho, no tiene ningun detalle esta a muy baja resolucion.

cantidad reembolsada

gracias

Hi I am wondering would it be possible to make a printable model for the VF-1R fast packs from the Macross game Macross 2036 for toynami and Bandai Hi metal VF-1 figures? Wondering as it would be cool to see the configuration be in model form.

Oh also slimmed down leg tanks similar to the VF-0 ones but for the VF-1.

Sorry, I have no plans to make these items

dude, price you rminis however you like. there's tons out there that aren't over priced. and yes, there's many minis that offer several poses.

most creators tend to be between 4-8 dollars USD.

You understand that my $18 listing includes 3 figures, right? That's $6 each. Help me understand how my price is too high when it represents the middle of the price range you provided.

no offence man, your sculpts aren't bad. I took a look at your prints on ebay and if you're gonna sell 'em, use a better printer.
as well, your files are really expensive. $17+ euros for hte file is pretty high.

You must be referring to my Super or Strike Valkyrie/Veritech. What do you think is a fair price for 3 different figures (Battloid, Gerwalk/Guardian, Fighter), flight stands, a 40mm base, and 4 different missile models?

Hello!
I see that you have made files for the Robotech Masters 15th Squad...Angelo Dante, Bowie Grant, Zor, Loie Nicholes, and Sean Philips..any plans on making Dana Sterling, Marie Crystal, and Nova Satorie? The Robotech Masters chapter of Robotech does not get enough love!

I would be willing to make more Masters characters, if there is enough interest. So far, the 15th squad are my worst performing models; least views, fewest downloads. Plus there are some other models for Dana, Marie and Nova already available from others. I will likely go back to Macross or expand to Mospeada for future models. Thanks

Hi hope your doing well.

I recently bought some of your models and enjoy the scuplts. However I've printed out the Super Valkyrie model and I'm having some issues. On scale the walls around the wrists, boosters, and shielding around the booster, and some spots on the neck are really then incredibly fragile on printing. They're thin enough in resin that they can been seen through and barely hold together on print. Any chance you could be convinced to go reinforce those thinner spots on the model and just thicken the walls up a bit?

I'm happy to send a picture as an example if you need it.

Sorry you're having issues. My models were designed and printed on an FDM printer, not resin. You can see from the pictures that they printed fine for me using standard settings in Cura. I have no experience in resin printing, but couldn't you print the models as a solid instead of hollow? The models are manifold, meaning solid, so there should not be thin "walls" in solid parts like the wrists or neck. I would have thought a resin printer would have more success printing thin parts due to lower layer heights than I can get from FDM. Can't you get the results you want from adjusting your slicer settings?

When I'm talking walls I'm speaking about parts that are just naturally super thin on the model. The exhaust, the covers over it, little pieces that cover the barrels on the wrist. Resin printers don't have an infill that makes a minimum width of anything. So if you sent a file to it that's .2mm thick, it'll attempt to print that spot at that thickness. So the part WILL print, but it'll be so thin that it'll break in the process of removing supports or maybe even just the action of going in and out of the vat over the printing process. You kind of caught me at an awkward time as I had just earlier today thrown that failed print out and the garbage as a whole.

You get it a lot when people try to rip and print video game models as an example. On a screen a cape on some knight being super thin on the model doesn't matter, but when they port that model out all the sudden that part of the model is so insanely thin that their isn't enough thickness to the material to have any stability.

I don't have a resin printer, so I have no way to ensure they will print how you want, even if I made changes. Best I can do is offer a refund

Hello.
Thank you for your message.

Do you have the flying stand file separate from from the VF-1?

I don't have the flight stand separately because other people have models you can download for free. Try this one https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/flying-base-40mm

That should do the trick!

I! I'm from Chile, i really liked your models
All of them works in a resin machine?
Cheers!

Thanks. I only have a PLA printer so I don't know if they will be good in resin. All of my models are manifold, no holes. But you can make your slicer cut drain holes and add supports before printing. If you print them in resin, please share the photos in the Make section, I'd like to see that

I did a test and the heel was fixed, though the new upload came in super small. I was able to upscale it, the title of the legs were legs revised. Just wanted to let you know the results of my test. :)

Thanks, I have re-scaled the legs to match the other files and uploaded again.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! I could give that download a go, though I accidently fixed it. Turns out if you run the file through the microsoft 3d program in your Windows OS it can repair those files. In this case it repaired the legs and heels. The fact you got back to me so fast means so much to me though. I have always loved the detail in your work. One day I hope to see you do the other Valks like the yf 19, 21 and the others from the other macross series. We can not get gerwalk or solider models of those in the Robotech RPG sizes sadly.

You are right, there were some vertices in the legs which were not manifold. Sorry about that. I have revised the file and re-uploaded the new one. Are you able to download the new file without paying again? If not, I can email the revised legs file directly to you. Thanks

Can you do the same for the open cockpit version? I found similar issues with some of the parts for that model. I have the closed cockpit version and love it. I have done two resin prints so far, and one already painted. Got the open version, and ran into the same issues OP described. Thank you (love your work)!

Fixed. The new leg file should be manifold. Let me know if you have any issues with the download.

Hello, I am new to this 3d printing stuff and have just purchased the STL files for the female zentraedi power armor. I will be having a friend print them for me but he asked me to ask a couple questions before we do anything. I am hoping you could answer and help me out.

1- can you tell me what the 'file width' is so my friend knows how to scale the supports? *example- if the height is .2mm he is hoping the 'file width' is within 0.3-0.45mm.

2-I am asked to ask what the file age is? Apparently some files can deteriorate and the print can be affected(?)-for all I know my friend is pulling my leg on this one..

3-asking if the DPI is 500-550 and then we can try to sharpen to like 700-750 in post print(?)

My friends 3d printer is an Anycubic photon resin printer...NOT sure of exact model...maybe M3 Max..

Thank you for any and all help on this, i look forward to seeing how they come out. Sorry for the questions, like I said, BIG NOOB on this stuff. William

Hi. Thanks for your purchase. I designed these parts for printing on my PLA printer, not a resin printer. I'm not familiar with file width, age or DPI relative to 3D printing. You can print them in any scale that you want, but if you are trying to match Robotech RPG Tactics piece, then the fully assembled models are around 2.75 inches tall (that's about 74mm for the open cockpit version and 71mm for the closed cockpit version). But the models I made are not one continuous model, they are composed of individual pieces (each arm, legs, torso). So the size of each individual model depends (for example the legs are about 48mm or 49mm tall by themselves). You can tell your friend that the models are manifold (meaning they are solid with no holes), and shouldn't need to be resized. He will have to do some preparation in the software for his printer, for example if you want to save on resin you will need to make the models "hollow" and add holes so resin can drain out. The software should be able to do all of that. Thanks
