Multi-purpose jar dispenser

I wanted a kitchen vending machine that would allow me to serve as many things as possible. I also wanted it to use a glass jar and not require the use of an extra hand. And here it is.

It can be used to serve: coffee, loose tea, mint, cereals, dried legumes, sugar, chocolate powder, rice, etc.

The distributor is in 3 parts:

• a PLA print valve for food contact;

  • the body with a thread corresponding to the common jars ( Ø : 77 mm ) to be printed in PLA for food contact ;
  • a bracket with 2 holes to fix it to the wall (2 screws Ø: 5 mm)

You'll also need a little rubber band. The size that works best is the size of a 2-euro coin.

As the dispenser is removable, you can load it easily.

The jars that have been successfully tested are those of Bonne Maman, Andros, Doritos, Monoprix, Carrefour, Jardin Bio, Planète Bio, etc. You can test the thread of your jars with the test file and then adjust the proportion of size of the STLs in your slicer.

Edit of 22/04/2020 : The wall of the main part in contact with the jar is quite thin. I made a thicker version with some minor modifications to be able to print in PLA wood that is more brittle than regular PLA but very nice. I also redid the wall support so that it follows its new curves. If you print in tough PLA or PETG, you shouldn't need to print the "thick" versions.
