3D printer file info

3D model description

Here is a set of fan art 28mm minis of the Nine from the epic battle at Dol Guldur. For use and play to your hearts content with any of your tabletop gaming needs. Bases included.

3D printing settings

Models come in the whole versions for your printing freedom to use and play around with any type of 3D printer, and also includes 3MF files that I used with Bambu Studio for 0.4mm and 0.2mm nozzles.

3MF files are set to have the tree supports as sparse as possible for easier removal. And some files have built in supports in them to further reinforce stability. You just have to carefully snip them off along with tree supports. This step can be tricky as they are small and might be hard to see. You will need to use hobby cutters to clean the supports off.

Disclaimer: I have only tried printing these with FDM and I have no experience with resin although I have tested them with a Lychee Slicer.

Tips for printing with FDM if you don't use 3MF. For 0.2mm nozzles: Set the outer wall speed at 15 mm/s, inner wall at 30 mm/s, gap infill at 30 mm/s, support at 50 mm/s
For automatic tree support set the Top Z distance at 2X the value of your layer height (e.g. if the layer height is 0.06mm, set it to 0.12mm) This is for easier removing of supports. And you have to be gentle with removing them since they are very small.
Tree Support setting: Set Branch distance to 10 mm and Branch diameter to 1 mm.

Some scaling information: They are supposed to be much taller than regular minis. Bases are already set at 25mm diameter.
