  • Support: NO SUPPORT. I've already create support where needed (Arm, Body -3 and Lock Arm are object with support I've already created, REMEMBER to get rid off those supports after finish printing).
  • Travel (Important): For part: Body 2, Body -1, Body -2, Body -3, Turn Combing Mode in Travel section to OFF. For remain parts turn Combing Mode in Travel section to ALL
  • Build Plate Adhension: Brim

NOTE: Position of printing object should same as picture shown

UPDATE 29 April 2020: I add 3 more STL file: Arm Without Support, Body -3 Without Support, Lock Arm Without Support FOR someone dont want my STL with support I've already created.
PLEASE NOTE: With file STL without support you need to turn "ON" support in Cura Setting. BUT for Arm you set "SUPPORT OVERHANG ANGLE" to 80, support will not fill in the hole for carbon 8mm tube.

UPDATE 20 May 2020: About version of flight controller. Newer version of flight controller might not good. You can keep default version from manufacture (It's seem to be 3.2.0). My version is: OMNIBUSF4SD (OBSD) 3.2.0 Sep 28 2017 (I did not flash firmware to newer version since I bought it). You can find my dump file here:
Here is link for older version if you want to downgrade version of FC to 3.2:
You find the file: OMNIBUSF4SD.hex, download it, then in betaflight flash it by "load firmware [local]" choose the file .hex you just download to flash

I've already update links, Please check. Thanks for your interesting in my model :D

Can you help me with the links? None of them work for delivery to the United States.

Very well !!
But please leave the propeller guard tour if the print dimensions allow. the engines are 2212. So 12 mm high then the propeller and its adapter.
I will give you the results of this test!
my mail.

I can redesign arm for 8" props and I will remove ring for prop's protection as you mention, it will not taking much time. Give me you email, I will mail back you .STL file when I finish

I will try indeed. But without damaging the engine nacelles. the engines are much higher and the propellers will be found above the fairing. If I have to I will put a wedge under the engines to increase them during the tests. But in the end if it works well as I hope I will have to make an impression of these new engine nacelles.
I will keep you posted on my tests, friends!

what you can do is to remove protections for propellers and make motor arms longer in order to receive 8 inches propellers.

I just need the motor support arms for 8 inch propellers. I keep the body of the scorpion as it is.
Not possible to redesign the engine mount for 8 inches?
Thank you.

I dont have plan to make bigger version of this drone. You know, bigger propeller will cause bigger frame kit so the weight heavier a lot accordingly. My build of thí version is only 720g. You can find my V2 of this drone, it will lighter around 70g. Anyway, thanks a lot for your interesting in my model :D

I was finally able to make the Scorpion fly!
I encountered quite a bit of problem with the settings in Betaflight. it's finally settled.
consumption is very important. I think you have to test engines that are greedy and run slower. The weight of 740 grs is too important for these 2 engines. Will it be possible to make a new file with the motor support arm for an 8 inch propeller? i am not able to edit your stl file. I would like to test racestars in 1400 kvs and 4 S. they produce 1.3 kgs of thrust and the current consumption will be much better. Tell me if you can generate this file. With my thanks for your very good work !!

Do you know what the total height would be if I combined body-2 and body-1 so glueing them together wasn't needed? Or see any reason why I shouldn't do that?

Hi Bmromans4,

Body Arm without support easier to peeled off support by cura (of course you need to turn on support on cura, set overhang angle to 80 degree)

Hello! I recently purchased this and was curious on something. When you have files in there named as “arm with support” and “arm with no support”, are the supports that print with that easily peeled off? On the arm for example it looks like it would be a pain to peel away that bottom ring

Hi, the Scorpion has been built and is now waiting for good weather for the first flight. at the moment there is only rain and strong wind. the 3d printing, mainly from body-1 and body2, was a bit tricky and is not exactly stable. could you please give these two parts an extra wall?
Best regards
ps: i am looking forward to the new design.

Hi lyle,
:) I will try to upload it soon, hope to be at this weekend

:) Sorry... Estimated Time of Arrival. (ETA)

When will you post the new design?

Hi lyle,
What is ETA? I dont know what's it mean?

Really looking forward to trying this design. Any ETA on your next version?

Don't use PLA-LW on pieces like arms as the PLA-LW is more fragile. You can use it on piece which will not recieve strong efforts (tail, canopy, inner structure...)

Hi Vaevictis 17,

Ohh PLA-Light weight? Really? I've first hear about that. Actually I Will soon upload version 2 of thi drone hopefully will reduce app 160g

You can use PLA-LW to reduce weight. You can also (I guess) reduce filling percentage and also make holes into some parts in order to reduce weight.

Hi Greguar,

You guess right, hard for me to design for long time flight, if i want longer flight time, must use lower kv motor version, but lower kv must use bigger propeller for same thrust, hence bigger frame 3D printing so it weight more...and so on. Ideal version is kit made plastics much lighter than PLA and use smaller and lower kv for less power consumtion

Thanks for the answer about flight time - I've already purchased a model and were just about to print it to play with my son. what makes the flight time so short? I guess it's a combination of the weight and batery capacity. any chance it could grow to 10-20 mins ?

Hi Greguar,
Flight time around 3.5 min

Great design!
what is the flight time with the equipment you recommended?

Hi Bromans468,
With my setting in Cura, total printing time for all part & accessory around 78hrs

What is total print time for this if you ran nonstop?

Incredible work :0
Keep on

Hi VAEVICTIS17, Im only use Cura, not using Simplify3D so I do not know :D Sorry about that!

Hi, nice work ;) What should be the settings with Simplify3D ?

I use 0.4mm nozzle size. I set 0.2mm layer height. I think if you set >0.2mm, Support I've already created might difficult to separate. For my printing, very easy to separate them. File Arm.stl should not print with support turn "ON" in Cura because support will fill in the hole for carbon tube. Give me your email, I can send you file Lock servo, Body -3 and Arm without support if you still want it, you can print it with support setting "ON" in cura, BUT again, file Arm.stl should not print with support "ON".

HI, great work this looks amazing! im having some difficulty printing and was wondering what nozzle size you used if i could have the files without supports as im struggling to get them to separate.

Could you list out the individual number of parts to buy? As well add in an a document listing out how many and which item is used where? As I want to be able to review later on without needing to consult a video.
