Bought this before I realised it is split vertically down the blade for horizontal printing.. swords should be printed vertically standing for much better detail and finish, this kind of forces you into horizontal printing which will give worse results

Just a head's up to those making the sword, the dowel between pieces 3 and 4 is too short and the connection is too weak - the sword ends up being very wobbly at that area. The rest of the sword with longer dowels work perfectly. I also used a long wooden dowel for pieces 4-8 for stability which works better than using several shorter pegs.

I'm a little confused is the blade two sided (like is the blade details on both sides) or is all the detail on one side and the backside is flat

Hello, I am not so sure about your question as my English is quite weak. If you are referring to the second picture in the preview section, it is the side a and b of the sword. They are basically the same piece, but b is the flip side of A. You will need to print A and blB, then glue them together to form a part. Do the same for all the pairs and join all the parts. If you know how to mirror or flip a piece, you can use piece A and flip it as piece B since they are symmetrical. Thank you.
