Hi! I love your slick carbine kit and would like to buy one, but I’m a bit worried that my Army Armament R618 Hi-Capa Staccato XC is slightly longer than the standard TM Hi-Capa. Will your kit still fit it?

Hello ! For slightly longer Hi-Capa, there is an intermediate piece included that is designed to add some length to the kit. It sandwiches between the two halves. You can adjust the length if this part in your slicer by modifying the scale in the desired direction (generally, on the Z axis of the part is printed flat).

Hello, unfortunately it can’t work on the P320. It’s only compatible with the Hi-Capa since it uses it’s safety pin hole as a mounting point.

Hello ! The longest necessary part (excluding the folding stock) is 190mm long. You will need a minimal 190mm Z axis to print it.

Hello ! If it’s for your personal use, you are allowed to do anything you want on it. The license only restricts the commercial use of the files, including the files which uses the original as a basis. As for the modification of the file itself, some software allow you to modify STL. I’ve never tried it myself but it seems to be possible, since I’ve saw quite often my project with slight modifications. I can’t help you more though since it’s something I’ve never experimented myself !

Hello ! I never had any Vorsk Hi-capa, I can’t confirm the compatibility of the kit. It should be compatible though since they have the same architecture as the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa.

Hello ! I think that the Pit Viper is a bit too long for this kit. It seems to be an Hi-Capa 5.1 sized, but the compensator makes it a bit longer !

Hello ! You don’t to check the overall length. If it is the same or shorter than a Tokyo Mario Hi-Capa 5.1, then it should be compatible. If it is longer, it won’t unfortunately.

There are 2 models for the back end : one compatible with an AEG stock tube (which allows you to put any M4/AR stocks you can find), and an other one with a picatinny interface.

Hello ! The plunger needs to be removed with this build. As of now I never encountered any problem with this modification, the slide lock acts the same as it has always been (or at least, it feels the same).

Yes ! Be careful when removing the safety switch, the plunger spring is very strong and it can eject very fast. Since those are small parts they are very easy to lose !

Hello !

For the front part of the kit I recommend printing it tower-style (font of the kit on the buildplate). The back part better needs to be printed with the top of the picatinny rail on the build plate. This layer orientation helps withstand the stress coming from the stock.

Hello ! You will need to print need to print the whole package. The only part where you have to choose is the back part. There are 2 : the rail version and the stock tube version. Print the stock tube version. It installs exactly the same way, you will only need an M5 Nut to insert inside. To have a fully complete kit, you will need to add an AEG Stock Tube (Specna Arms Core Buffer Tube are the cheapest out there), and the stock of your choice !

Hello ! No special stuff there. Just print slowly (I’m at 60mm/s) and as cold as possible (PLA can go as low as 185-190). Use gyroid infill, 30%, 2mm walls. Try to tweak your supports to be easy to remove (if you’re if cura, the tree supports are incredible with stock settings). The rest will depend on your printer though !

Hello ! Mechanically yes, since I tested on an Army Hi-Capa too. But the TTI CM can be a bit longer, you will maybe need the to print the spacer included. This spacer adds a bit of length between the two halves, allowing you to mount the kit on longer Hi-Capas.

Technically, since every Hi-Capa has the same shape and roughly the same dimensions, every Hi-Capa not longer than a 5.1 should be compatible : Marui, WE, Army, Golden Eagle, G&G, ICS, Vorsk… the only factor that determines the compatibility is the overall length : it should not be longer than a Hi-Capa 5.1 . There are a only a few Hi-Capa that are longer than that, like the WE Dragon 7.1 or the Novritsch SSP5. Your Hi-Capa should be no more (or roughly the same size as) than 222mm, that’s the length of a stock Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa.

I personally use a Prusa I3 Mk3S and printing PLA, because it’s the easiest material to print and because you can get some incredibly nice looking prints without post process !

I would suggest a Creality Ender 3. They are dirt cheap, very evolutive (you can upgrade and repair those easily), and give nice results out of the box ;)

Resin is very strong, but very brittle, it doesn’t flex. Maybe a bit too much for a part like this one. But I’m not sure, I could be wrong !

Hello ! The only special thing to do is to remove the safety. You can see how to do it fast without doing a full disassembly of the gun here : https://youtu.be/gyf1ARL_M9c . You will need to keep a finger on the beaver tail so it doesn’t fall off.

Once its done, insert the front half of the kit. Insert then the back half. You will see that there is a hole where the safety was. Insert your M4x35 there and through the beaver tail, and secure it with an M4 nut on the opposite side. Secure the the two halves together with the M4 screws on both does. And finally, secure the kit to the Hi-Capa by tightening the screw on the bottom front of the kit.

I personnally used the stock tube version, and I use the folding stock on my Mk23. That only a matter of preference ;)
