Folding Terrain: City Ruins Set

Hey! Pretty much everything except: LWall5x9x9, LWall5x9x9Window, LWall9x5x5, LWall9x5x5Window, UWallExtension, Container, Crater, and Vent. Then its up to you if you want to have wide or narrow floors or do you want widowed or non windowed variations. Two of each walls should pretty much cover all of the map layouts.

I´m not totally up to date on current GW layouts or if there has been changes to them. If you need some of the wall to have different orientation you can simply mirror ruins on slicer.

Hey! Yeah all files were designed to not need supports.

Hey! Largest wall is 26mm x 233mm 218mm, which is the large L wall used in the WTC maps, but there is also inch smaller 26mm x 202mm x 195mm wall that you could substitute with, or you could use this set to build the GWs layouts.

Basic WTC set is 6 small L wall, 4 Large walls and 4 containers. Hope this helps!

Doing UKTC style terrain has been on my mind, I still need to do few other things before I can start studying that layout since not super familiar with it. Also Im not sure If my area terrain works with UKTC since it is quite bit different size and shape then ones in WTC and GWs

I've beem looking around and can only find MDF for UKTC so If you get around to it the set could be quite popular

Not currently, didn't think it was needed since most people play large L walls as windows were blocked anyway. I could add them later when I get chance.

I'd like to second this request. Around here we only play ground floor as blocked.

Quick question... layout 2 and layout 7 have L Walls that are positioned differently than normal on the terrain footprint. Instead of having the corner of the L wall line up to the corner of the terrain footprint, the corner of the L wall is in the middle of the footprint, preventing it from securely attaching.

What do you recommend for using the L Walls for these layouts so that they are securely attached to the footprint? Maybe in Layout 7 I could get away with using half of a U wall for the piece in the top left corner on the 6"x12" footprint, but for layout 2 for the 5"x10" footprint I'm a bit at a loss.

No wonder you are at loss, so I am since when I looked over the maps they all looked to have same few terrains so I picked one of the maps and use that for reference. Im gonna have look and see if I can figure fix or addon for those odd ones, but since GWs maps are more of suggestions and not exact layouts like with WTC for example, I think you can easily get away with changing it having L wall not in the middle but in the corner and still have good time playing.

I'll see if I can make an additional L wall that will snap into middle of existing area terrains and also maybe fit onto 6x4, but it might take some time. I hope my little mistake hasn't been too much trouble for you!

These are great so far! Which one was is the new one that fits on the 6x4 base? (And is that the same one as fits on the middle of the 12x6?)

LWall4,5x5x3,5 and 3,5x5x4,5 fit in 6x4 and goes kinda in the middle of 12x6

Hey! Did you by any chance rotate the file when you sliced it? And what printer and material are you using?

No rotating, the floors were printed bottom to the plate and the ruin standing with the joint at the plate. It started life as a CR10s but its been heavily modified such that the frame and motors are about the only parts left from that now.
Printed using Sunlu PLA+ 2.0

I've reduced my line width by 0.05 and slowed the print and managed to pop the joint to successfully fold on a floor piece. It took a bit more effort to pop and is a bit stiffer than I think it should be so Im going to try and improve my tolerance more but success.

When I get it so im happy enough Ill be pumping out a full table set and Ill be sure to share it here.

Completed a full set and added to the make - love this set. My only thought is maybe a middle extension piece to the U ruins to be able to optionally extend it to the full large foot print width.

I think I could do that, I have look at it when I have the time, thanks for the suggestion!

I finally made the extension piece for the U wall, its in two pieces so you can use the U walls left and right side as L walls as well.

There aren't atm but I can add them to the set later when I get the time, bit of oversight on my part sorry about that!

Good to hear! Let me know how they turn out! I think the large L wall might not fit wholly to the A1 mini but you might be able to slice it and glue it if you are feeling crafty.

Added the windows to U wall and L wall ( 6,5x5x4 and 4x5x6,5) they are more like holes in wall but they should serve the purpose all the same.

Nice also found I can print the biggest building on the a1 mini at an angle with 1 plane cut and peg connections added can't wait to print the new ones thank-you so much
