3D model description
Small (6,8 x 3,3cm x 0,4cm) Flat Life / Score Counter - V2
Keychain included in files
Version 28 VI 2025
If you want to sell prints of this models you can buy a commercial license:
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/flat-life-score-counter-v2-commercial-license
Compared to old version new one is bigger and with different mechanism that should work better
My Tabletop collection - including 3-digit counter of the same mechanism
https://cults3d.com/en/design-collections/c47/tabletop
You need one top and bottom part (normal or keyring version) and 2 wheels
Parts have markings (I and II) to let you know where each wheel should go
Assemble upside-down (digits not visible)
Bottom and top parts should snap together
Wheels with ‘Weak-Spring-Negative-Volume’ are easier to use - there is less force needed for rotating
The same if you want to resize the models - you will need to test the values that will work for you
You can also make a double-sided version (DS)
You can add some markings in the slicer (like ‘+1’ or ‘#’) on one side and different on the other
There is a bottom part (DS) with a hole (like in the top one)
Wheels are with numbers on both sides (carved on bottom and carved or domed to choose on the top)
You will need to change color two times, after 0.4mm and before last 0.4mm
Or you can print it on multicolor printer with help of two files that will fill the numbers
The only problem is that there is no marking I and II on wheels - you will need to check wich wheel is wich by yourself
TOP and BOTTOM-DS parts can be customized with Addons
- You can add ‘#’ sign or numbers from -3 to +3
To use addons right click on the model and add a negative volume OR add it with base model, merge them together and change the color of addon (only with multicolor printer)
- You can also fill the arrows and a line under the numbers by using Addon_Multicolor merged with base model - also usefull for multicolor printers
UPDATE 28 VI 2025
As reguested I prepared a double sided version (DS)
There is a hole in the bottom part and numbers on both sides of wheels
Also there are files ‘numbers’ for multicolor print (numbers will be filled) and the same with arrows and line on the top or bottom-ds parts
Added carved (numbers as holes) and domed (numbers sticking out) versions of wheels
Numbers are thicker - should be better visible, especially on carved version - optimised for Arachne wall generator
Removed ‘Weak’ spring versions - but added a Weak-Spring-Negative-Volume model that will work with any wheel
There are files to make additional text on the TOP or BOTTOM-DS parts ('#' and numbers from -3 to +3)
3D printing settings
Made for 0,4mm nozzle
No supports needed
0.1 or 0.2mm layer height (slight variations may work too)
Change filament color for layers with digits
Top and bottom parts can be printed this way too (as on photos) or sepparate with just one color
Looks really nice with transparent filament as base color
The force needed to move the wheels depends on filament, printer calibration and slicer settings
If it's too hard to rotate wheels you can use a Weak-Spring-Negative-Volume as a negative volume (right click on wheel model and add negative) in the same place as a wheel (spring is 0.4mm thick instead of 0.8mm) or a horizontal expansion (xy compensation) - maybe something like -0.02 or so will help
Resizing the wheel models may help too. You can try something like 100.5% for easier or 99.5% for harder rotating
You can also use XY compensation if you will have problems with assembling (parts too loose or to hard to assemble)
