3D model description

A miniature of a large airship for a fantasy tabletop game. It is aesthetically consistent with Dungeons and Dragons Spelljammer but could also fit into other settings with magical flying ships. Its appearance is inspired by Githyanki astral ships from Dungeons and Dragons.

This model is at a scale of 1:600 which is the same scale as the Spelljammer ship models produced by Wizkids. It is 4 inches (100mm) long and 3.25 inches (80mm) wide as measured from the tips of the side sails. The base has a diameter of 3 inches (76mm).

This Model can be printed in multiple FDM friendly parts. When printed this way, the only parts that need supports are the side sails. There is also a single piece version of the model included. The stand is always a separate piece even in the single piece version.

I have also added hollow resin friendly versions of this model both with and without supports already set up. The connection to the base is different between the resin and FDM versions so make sure to print the model that corresponds with the base you intend to print. You can print the entire resin base as one piece or just print the peg and glue it to whatever base you wish.

3D printing settings

When printing this model use a nozzle no bigger than 0.4mm. I recommend a layer height of 0.1mm.

Both the top and bottom halves of the hull can be printed without supports. The side sails need supports on the outer edges of the sail.
