The Colt Walker had the reputation of being the most powerful handgun in the west from 1848 through to the early 1900's. I don't know if anyone ever converted it from a cap and ball to accepting cartridges but if they did it would most likely be similar to this working model using conversion kits from designers like Richards & Mason.
This model has been taken to another level as the original was a .44" and a 6 shooter. This one has been upgraded to take 5 "BadAss" cartridges similar to the Spencer .56-56g rimfire rifle cartridge which makes it unique in its own right.
The standard .56-56g spencer cartridge gcode file comes with the kit along with a longer "BadAss" version which could have been made from the 50-70 Government Issue cartridge.

All parts of this model are working with plastic 3d printed springs. The cylinder rotates when you pull the hammer back and locks into position. At half-cocked the cylinder will spin freely so the "BadAss" 3d printed cartridges can be removed.

The Barrel comes in 2 versions, one with holes to take the scope mount and one without. The scope shown in the photos is not supplied with this creation but will be uploaded to this site shortly as a separate item. Search for the tag BadAss Scope by the same designer.

The barrel has been blocked and the cylinder size is slightly smaller than the .56-56g spencer cartridge, so the real ones won't fit for safety reasons.
Before downloading this model, make yourself aware of the laws in your area. Treat it like a real gun as it's not a toy. Don't point it out the car window or take it into a bank or on a plane. Don't even take it outside as some may think it is a real gun and feel threatened which would make you in breach of the law and perhaps you will receive a heavy fine, or worse get shot yourself. You know the old saying, "Don't take a plastic gun to a gun fight".
This model is for display only and for collectors of historic models.

This model can be printed on 3d printers like the prusa or the ender 3.
Gcode has been supplied for all files and some STL files that can be modified if required. Search for the free gcode files I have placed under "Colt Walker BadAss Parts" so that you can test your printer with the files.
Tolerances are kept to a minimum so some filing and sanding will be required to get a good model. If you are not prepared to do this don't download the model
