3D model description

Adapt XLR signal to RJ45 so that audio signals can be ran down a cat5 or cat6 cable. There is a LED light installed on each channel which lights up if phantom power is turned on on that channel. (see wiring diagram in pictures of how i have wired the 2 way together, very similar wiring to that of the Radial Engineering Catapult)

Included are .STL and .step files (in case you want to modify them) for 1 way, 2 way, 3 way and 4 way boxes

NOTE: that in order to have 4 channels on cat5e or cat6 the cable you use must be shielded, the ground for the XLR is then wired to this shield.

You can get away with 4 channels without running shielded connections, however the audio signal will have no ground, meaning that it will be slightly more susceptible to interference, plus you wont be able to run Phantom power, as it requires a ground wire in order to run the 48v through.

NOTE: i have also used a slightly different design of RJ45 connector in the physical images, this is all i had on hand, however the panel mount ones (as per the CAD images) work the best
