3D model description

This is a robotic arm made for Arduino that uses 28BYJ-48 stepper motor and can be controlled through a program or using the joystick; it is perfect for learning how a robotic arm is made and how it works, and you can challenge yourself writing a code to run it: you can simply find on the internet how to control a single stepper motor using Arduino through the standard library, and use that code for all the 6 stepper motors following the signals coming from the joystick in order to make the robot move.

For this project you will need:

  • 3mm screws;
  • M3 bolts and nuts;
  • 606zz ball bearing;
  • 1x Arduino (Mega is recommended);
  • 6x ULN2003 stepper motor control board;
  • 6x 28BYJ-48 5V stepper motor;
  • 2x Arduino PS2 joysticks;
  • Cables;

3D printing settings

You can print all the files with 0.1mm to 0.2mm layer height, 2-3 perimeters, and 30%-50% infill; enable the supports for better print quality.
