Adjustable vertical laptop stand | Laptop dock | 3D digital file

Free up some desk space with this vertical laptop stand.
This one has been designed to have a premium look so it can blend with your desk aesthetics.

The design is also adjustable, so it can fit different laptops and you can add padding material on the dedicated places to avoid scratching any surface.

The sides of the stand can slide in or out by 10 mm.
We made two versions to fit laptops of different thicknesses:
- Slim: 17 to 27 mm (works well for MacBooks and Ultrabooks)
- Wide: 24 to 34 mm (works for thicker laptops and mobile workstations)

Non-printed parts:

• Threaded inserts. M4 x 8 or #8-32. Qty: 4
• Countersunk (flathead) screws. M4 x 16 or #8-32 x 5/8". Qty: 4
• Soft padding material, about 2 mm (about 5/64" or 1/10") thick (we used cork sheets).

The files include DXF contours for cutting the soft padding parts using a laser cutter, a knife plotter or using them as a reference for hand trimming. We have also included STL files for the paddings, so you can print them in a soft material, like TPU.

Disclaimer: when using laptops docked vertically, be mindful of the location of the exhaust and inlet ventilation openings. Ensure the stand does not obstruct them to allow correct cooling of your device.

Please adjust the width of the stand to match your laptop before using it.

You should be able to print it without supports.

However, the base has pockets for placing soft pads. They'll require bridging 25 mm. If your printer is not capable of doing so, you'll need to add supports only for those parts.

Use at least 3 perimeters and 15% infill when printing. We printed at 0.3 mm layer height using a 0.6 mm nozzle, but any regular 0.4 mm nozzle works fine as well.

• Sides: print in the provided orientation. You need 2 identical prints.
• Base: print in the provided orientation to obtain the print bed texture on the top side of the base.
