I can't open the dice gun files i would like a refund or new fils

Hi, I love your design for the dice guns! I just have one question about the Dice Shell V2.
I'm currently assembling it and having some trouble with the striker and spring. When I load the dice and pull the striker back, it doesn't lock into place. I've taken everything apart and reassembled it a few times — sometimes one shell works, but the other doesn't, and I can't figure out what the difference is between them.

It seems like the latch isn’t springing back to catch the lip on the striker. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Or would it be possible to modify the latch so it has a spring, similar to how the hands work, to help snap it back into place? I can't tell what mechanism is supposed to give the latch its spring action.

Thank you!
—Michael

Hi there, apologies for the late reply, theres already a spring mechanism separate to the latch, its the u shape object. Sometimes if the hole where the filament pin goes is to tight, it will make it harder for the latch to swing freely. Let me know if this is the case.

Hey, love your stuff! Would it be possible to get photo instructions for assembly? I'm having trouble with the Dice Shell V2, and having to constantly scrub the video back and forth is a bit of a headache.

Hi there thank you so much for your interest in my creations. Unfortunately creating a full photo instructions for my builds is not possible at the moment. If you have any specific problem while building, kindly let me know and I will try to troubleshoot it using pictures etc.

Kindly contact me via email at pixelcadet@gmail.com for easier comm.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot on my desktop. The smaller screens of my tablet where I do my building makes it difficult to see what's going on. If there's persisting issues, I'll be sure to reach out.

I do have another question. Is it possible to put it together without the screws?

Hi sorry your question appeared on my message pages, so I'm not sure to which model are you referring to. But in general, screws are recommended, to ensure all moving parts are working.

I’ve gone out and gotten some! Thank you so much!!

Do i need supports?

im gonna use them

Hello, I have a question: is it possible to store the pocket dungeon expansions in the initial pocket dungeon container? I hope it can so that it can save on space.

Hi there yes you can including the two different wall sets. But you can only contain one board inside. Hope this helps, and really sorry for the late reply

I just got your pistol design. What frame version should I use? There is one in "Dicepistol", one in "frame_V1" and one in "frame_V2".

Second question If I use shell V2, do I have to print the dice shell base according to the dice size from "dice shell V1"

Hi there difference between frame v1 and v2 is that on v2 I separated the rounded part from the frame so you can use v2 if you want to print the frame with less support.

Regarding shell v2: please use the capbottom stl as the base for dice shell v2.

Hope this helps

Someone is using this design for crowdfunding in China. I don't know if you agree🤔️

Hi there, thanks for flagging this, I cannot open the link you shared. Do you mind telling me from which of my project is that? Maybe I can try to google it and find the page

Hi, there,
I came across your page while looking for dice thrower designs. Very good design!
I'm looking to design a dice roller for a project to study chance. The mechanism you've used for the throw seems fine to me, but the system I want needs to stand on a base, have an adjustable tilt and have several interchangeable, helical barrels to give the die an initial rotation speed.
Can you help me with this design? Can you make it to order and under what conditions?
Thanks for your help!

Hi there, thank you for your interest in my dice weapon, do you mind telling me more about what you have in mind via email? And what kind of weapon do you want it to be? Here's my email pixelcadet@gmail.com

Hello, I have a question about the dice blunderbuss.
How many dice can you fit in one firing of the shell?
Can you do a full set (D4,D6,D8,D10,D100,D12, D20)?

Hi there, I dont think you can fit a full set of normal sized dice. With normal sized ones (diameter about 19-20mm in average) you can fit max 3 dice. If you have smaller dice like the one used for wargame, you can fit more inside. Hope it helps.

I am interested in purchasing your full dice weapon collection (5 item files) and the Excalibur. Is there a bundle or discount that you'd be willing to provide for that?

Hi there sorry for the late reply, I unfortunately couldnt make bundle sales here. But as part of the year end sale I put 25% discount for all items. Kindly use this code: XYZMASSALE Thanks!

Hello, I was trying to see if your Morningstar drive roller is compatible with resin printing

Die*

Hi there, I never printed it using resin printer myself, but since there's no printed spring needed, I think it's possible.

Hi there thank you for flagging this, I opened the link and it seems that the page is not live anymore. Hopefully it was taken down and dont resurface.

I said something to them about it.

Ah I see, thank you for that, really appreciate it. :)

I created updated part files if you'd like them (3 stl files). I redesigned the hammer, trigger and frame. The new parts give you a "click" fire each time and makes the main frame assembly easier while the parts are under kinetic load. They resolve some some of the hammer kinetic loss too. Let me know if you'd like them. timothy.s.patterson@gmail.com

I have a question about the dice blunderbuss: The firing pin in the STL files has a less angled bevel than the internal diagram, and does not appear to push the lock upward. Do you have a suggestion for how to fix this?

Hi I was just wondering if you still had the tf2 rubber band flare gun still available for purchase?

Hi there, I got couple feedbacks about the flare gun design being too low poly in some area, so I am currently taking it down, and when I have time I am planning to revisit the design and uploading it again after fixed

is the file for the dice gun missing the instructions?
I don't have any pdf or txt files for the gun in mine and there is only 2 very confusing images for shell assembly information.
Is there an assembly video or written directions somewhere?

what's the difference in V1 and V2?

Hi there sorry for the confusion, below you can find the build instruction videos:
Shotgun dice shell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeYsRibdeYQ
Single dice shell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqEUew93nVs

difference between v1 and v2 are how deep will the hook latch into the firing pin (v2 is deeper) i made these based on a feedback that in some cases v1 is not strong enough and sometimes the shell can goes off by itself just by a slight movement. Hope this helps and let me know if you have further questions

thanks for the quick response!

I have downloaded the build videos so I can play them at old man slow speed and follow along.
have all the parts printed, just have to source some rubber bands and screws.

Ah nice, hope all goes well and have fun :)

for the dice blunderbuss theres a problem where the piecie that has the rubber band thats supposed to push teh dice is not locking in with the striker pin is there any way to fix that??

PIXELCADET
Hi there, sorry to hear this, I assume it's because the shell spring is not tall enough to push the lock in place, I made a slightly taller spring that you can try and see if it solves the problem. Ideally, you also want to do cube callibration with your 3d printer before printing all the parts to ensure correct measurements. Hope it helps please let me know how it goes

here's the stl: drive.google.com/file/d/1gMQNFpRR-4CPDTFzvE9bPBe4ueZpXfpt/view?usp=sharing

i dont have a 3d printer & i really want pocket dungeon & the expansions. can i order one?

Hi there, yes you can buy the printed version here on my shop: www.asdf-club.com

hello, i bought the EXCALIBUR file from FIRE FORCE
I would like to know what is the proper configuration I should use to print it on an ANET A8 PLUS computer using the ULTIMAKER CURA software.
I would really appreciate your help, since I want to use it for a cosplay of the character Arthur.

Hi there thank you for purchasing excalibur. I don't have a specific experience with ANET A8 Plus but if you want to print them using FDM printers, in general here's the settings: all parts are pre orientated so you can place them on slicer as is. Please use support and 20% infill or more. You can print these with 0.2mm line width.

Hope it helps, let me know if you have further qs and good luck with the cosplay!

Hi, I purchased your dice blunderbuss, and I'm confused about the construction of the shell; am I supposed to glue the bottom to the shell? and if so, when I did, the shell would have a hard time releasing the latch to launch the dice, what am i doing wrong here?

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. I think one of the reason could be because the printed size doesnt match with the size as 3d models, I'd suggest to do a cube calibration on your 3d printer before printing them.

Regarding the bottom of the shell specifcally, even when it's glued it shouldnt influence the other part, the only thing I can think of is if maybe the glue is a bit too much and squeezed out and spilled over to the other part? Maybe as a simple test you could assemble them and try to hold the bottom cap with your hand and check if everything is moving?

Please let me know if you have further questions, I hope this helps.

Best,

Hi,
I bought the axe gun and pistol. I'm having trouble fitting normal dice in the shell. Anyway to make the chamber bigger? I already tried with no arms except for two Nr. 0 for the rubber band of course.

Hi there sorry for this, what‘s the measurements of your dice please? Unfortunately it‘s almost impossible to expand the chamber as it will compromise the shell wall.

Hello pixelcadet, I purchased the axe gun dice launcher but it seems to be missing the retaining clips for the shell.

Hi there thank you for purchasing the axe gun, I just reuploaded the diceshell.zip and you can find the retaining clip under „100% Infill“ folder, please let me know if you have further questions

Oh, haha. Turns out I'm just an idiot. Thanks for the help though.

hello
i can't find a way to read your zip
Pocket Dungeon (Jeu de société en solo) and
Green Maze - Pocket Dungeon Expansion Pack on cura.
can i get one that is working please?
best regards
olivier

Hi there I reuploaded the mentioned zip files into cults, could you please redownload them, extract each zip files and try to import them to cura again? let me know if the problem still persist

hello
i just chek and Green Maze is working, thank you very much.
but Pocket Dungeon still not work. if you can check?
best regards
olivier

hi I will check, thanks for letting me know

Hi there, I reuploaded the zip files for Pocket Dungeon now

Love the axe dice launcher. Gonna make a kick butt Christmas present. I do wonder if sending this through US mail would be a bad idea...

Hi there, thanks! I unfortunately never tried to send this through mail or US mail (I live in Germany and only been using DHL so far). But based on past exp, the way it worked for me is to give enough empty space around the gun, and make sure to stuff it with either paper blister or this styrofoam peanuts on all side. Sorry couldn't help much, I'd appreciate it if you let me know how it goes.
