Good morning, could we talk about commercializing your "28 City Street 3D Hex Bases for BattleTech " They are really nice, & I've printed them for my personal use. There are some customers at my store that would like for me to print some to purchase. is there a way that we can work this out?

Sorry, all my models are under a non-commercial licence as a gift to the BattleTech community. You can give them away as gifts or prizes, but you can't charge money for them.

and my question to you is why? my argument is this , bases for models and toys hex and otherwise have been around for thousands of years. despite your intention as a gift to a certain gaming community a decorated base for a model is not the model and any kind of model can be mounted on that base. seems everybody and their cousins want to buy your bases which are under no issues of property/trademark rights other then yours , why not let us ?

Question on the Wolverine, Siberian Troll recently started pumping out wolverine models and the polygons are 1:1 match to your stuff, just chopped up and reposed, but with obvious issues with rounded surfaces like the gun lenses and joint cowlings going wonky when repaired after slicing. Feels weird nobody has mentioned it being a collab with your parts?

I've used some of his models as the base for some of mine. 2 big ones would be the black python and the hunchback collection (which I basically just assembled into complete minis). If he would like to use one of mine in cool with it so long as he gives credit and doesn't charge money for it.

If he's charging money or hasn't given me credit, then he's in violation of the licence in released it under.

So far its only available to his Patreon subscribers. I see too many similarities to yours, the right weapon mount's particular details stand out the most, but also the vertex points of the rounds of the feet, number of faces on the curves of the lower legs and the small details that would be hard to duplicate accidentally.

If you're in his patreon, could you remind him that by the licence he needs to give credit and he's not allowed to charge money for it.

Not in his patreon but he has confirmed that he used your model for his mods on the facebook group. Will have to see if he releases it for free or not I guess?

Hello! Your lovely Ebon Jaguar has problems with its legs :). There are some holes in it, which make them break easyily and stores some resin. You make great models btw.! It is a joy to paint them.

Oh, and the little plates on the backside of the knees fall off...

Hi. I was just wondering if you could do a couple of alternate Optimus poses?
Specifically one for the white bot Ultra Magnus”. And the Black Decepticon “Nemesis Prime”. I’m not sure what Battletech mechs they would represent.. maybe an Axeman for Ultra Magnus? What do you think?

That looks great. Thanks for sharing!

I don't, however I'll add it to the list. Absolutely no idea when I'll get around to it, or when it would be released.

no rush dude just nice to hear it's in the pipeline

Hola, dude you're doing work of the people.

Also you wouldn't know where I could find a reaaaallly good flashbulb do ya? I see one of them in your collection and its close but I'd like to see if there are any alternatives

Flashman? Hmm, I think ShogunGE has one of the best that I know of: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/lighter-boy.
It's also free, which is always nice ;)

Ey thanks for this!

Hello, on your bullet dice, can you make an 8 sided pattern? My friends and I play a game called The Quick and the Undead and it uses 8 sided dice. We agreed that bullet shaped ones would add to the game. I appreciate your time.

I'll see what I can do. It probably won't be straight away

I understand. I won't get my 3D printer until probably end of this month. Thank you for your reply.

Here you go, just in time for the end of the month: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/50-ae-bullet-8-sided-dice-d8

the hex base u have do u have teh file for the pole the figters sit on

They're actually Lego transparent antennas (part numbers: 3957/28658 or 3957/30064). I bought a few of them off a site called brick owl for only a few cents each.

Thank you much. The detail you put on your mechs is nice.

Howdy, Love your Mechs and bases. Do you have an Urbie miniature?

You have any other mech files floating about unpublished? Looking for a loki, cauldron born, and Thor?

Sorry, I haven't done any of those mechs

Love your models. Is there any chance you could do a couple alternate poses for the Phoenix Hawk Starscream? I was just thinking of having a Thundercracker and Skywarp. Love your work!

I'm not looking to do any more Transformers at the moment.

Do you plan on doing anymore of the Transformers as Mechs? I love them! And gonna do a whole Battletech campaign with them

Hi these transformers are amazing. How did you get them to a single stl file? I have seen toymakers files, but they are all separate pieces and I want to print a single mini figure for G1's. any help would be appreciated

The short answer is: I used NetFabb to Boolean merge them together.
To combine STLs, easiest way would be to use open the parts into a Windows 3D Builder scene and position each part where you want it posed. Then save as 3MF or STL.

Open that file in NetFabb and Boolean it together into a single manifold part and export as STL.
Here's the vid that I leaned how to do it: https://youtu.be/MXC1tIogLkA?si=8tQx_ZUFPLvFAG7Q

Note this won't get rid of holes / voids inside the model, so you might need to add in some extra 3d shapes while you're posing the model in 3D builder to fill them. Do this before you Boolean it into a full model in NetFabb.

Congrats, now you're kitbashing and 3D modelling - Good luck!

Just letting you know, you literally sculpt the best mech miniatures there are.

Hey, I appreciate the comment, but I'm definitely not the best. So far all almost everything has been a remix of someone else's work.
If you go to my profile and click on "Followings", you'll find a lot of very talented people with some excellent models.

Hey, got to ask, where are the files for the Hunchbacks pictured with your magnet/hazard stripe bases from? They look incredible.

They're by Siberian_Troll on Thingiverse. Here's the link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5478514

Thanks man. Also, did you happen to have the 4H file saved? He doesn't appear to have that one listed any more

Also, looks like you modified/repositioned the arm file. You wouldn't have that would you?

Yes, pretty sure I still have them. I also changed the location of the SRMs on the chest of the HBK-4SP. I'll need to have a look, I may have made them into 1 peice models, so not posable anymore.

Appreciate your help man. Them being monopose wouldn't be a problem at all.

Any luck finding the file?

I'm going to upload the hunchbacks as a remix of the original. If you follow me you'll get a notification when it's available.

I loved your hexbases. I am glad the 'common block stud' is catching on for the flyer model bases!

It was your base with the stud! I knew I saw it somewhere, but i couldn't find the model. Such a great idea, I'll update my descriptions with a link to your model. Glad you like them!

Its all good. I am just glad to see it getting out there as an idea.
