Makeโs description
The Bone turned out amazing. I did a basecoat in Beige-Grey. After that, white acrylic paint. Nothing special and not thinned in any way. That gives a gritty texture and absorbs the wash better.
After that, an oil wash. I used Winton Vandyke Brown + AK Interactive White Spirits. The application was a lot of fun; the white paint interacted really well with the wash. I dabbed excess from flat/exposed surfaces while letting the wash sit in the recesses. The dabbing with paper towels left a smudgy texture. I love it. I treated the teeth like bone, as I didn't want them to stand out too much. After I was done, I applied a gloss varnish, which is just the right amount of difference to the bone, I think (first 4 pics with no varnish, pictures after with varnish).
