Christmas Tree/ Pine Tree

These trees are SO fun to print! Thanks for the interesting approach to 3D printing. These were perfect for a project my daughter was working on for school. I printed each with a wide, thick brim to provide a base since we needed to glue them to a box.

I had some trouble printing these initially since the perimeters around the trunk were printing unsupported and then the "branches" had nothing to attach to. Using Simplify3D, I was able to animate the printing process and see more clearly what was going on.

Ultimately I printed 150% and 200% scaled models with 0.25 mm layer height, 0% infill, 2 perimeters, 2 top layers, 3 bottom layers, and 3 skirt/brim layers with 0.00 mm offset. I also turned OFF bridging on perimeters. No supports.
