SHORT DESCRIPTION:

The FG1250 was an active infrared night vision system used on late-war German vehicles.

It worked as a paired system:
IR Searchlight → emits invisible infrared light
BiWa Image Converter → converts reflected IR into a visible image
Effective range: ~500–600m
Required active illumination (not passive)

Used in limited numbers on Panther G in “Sperber” configuration.

This is not “just another add-on”.
This is the complete FG1250 “Sperber” system —
accurately reconstructed from original references and 3D scan data,
down to the last bolt, cable routing and internal structure.

Most out of the box pieces look like simplified placeholders.
This doesn’t.

3D PRINT INFORMATION:

► Baseline Printing Specs (reference values)

Layer Height: 0.02–0.04 mm

Normal Exposure: ~2.2–2.8 s

Bottom Exposure: ~30–40 s

Anti-Aliasing: Off

Resin: Standard grey or similar opaque resin recommended

(Reference printer: MSLA class – results may vary depending on printer, resin,
and calibration)

► Important Printing Notes

• SLA printing is not plug-and-play.
• Dimensional accuracy depends heavily on:
– Printer calibration
– Resin shrinkage
– Exposure tuning
• Transparent / clear resins require significantly lower exposure times.
Using standard exposure settings with clear resin may cause:
– Closed pin holes
– Oversized snap features
– Loss of functional tolerances

Unsupported files are recommended for advanced users who want full control over
orientation and supports.

POST-PROCESSING & HANDLING:

• Remove supports carefully using flush cutters or a sharp hobby knife
• Gently heat supports if required (warm water or hairdryer – low heat)
• Clean parts thoroughly and post-cure properly
• Light sanding or minor cleanup may be required
• Prime with standard modeling primers before painting
