Moza ES Formula wheel mod - Gulf inspired - multicolor

I designed this mod for the Moza ES steering wheel. The largest part is 210 mm long, therefore you can print this mod on most 3D printers.

Notice that this design hides the white lines on the controller.

When you buy this Moza ES Wheel Mod, you wil receive a 3MF file of the base plate and the top piece (a top piece without number in center is included). You also get these parts as a STL file, in case you don't have access to a multicolor 3D printer.

Altough, I choose for some retro coloring for this wheel, you can color the plates with whatever color you like.

The base plate and top part are 5 mm thick and have reinforcement ribs at the back. I use this mods with a Moza R5. They are strong enough to use, when the infill is set at 45%. I use triangle infill in Bambu Studio and Tri hexagon when I use Cura. IMPORTANT: use the 3 smallest screws from the original wheel, to give the mod full strentgh. When you leave those srcews out, it is not as strong as it should be (in the last 2 pictures you can see 2 of the 3 screws that I mean).

The handles are available as STL and are available in 2 models. For model 1 you need M4 thread inserts with M4x20 screws (you will have to shorten 1 screw).
For model 2 you can use an M4 nut and M4x25 screws. Here too you will have to shorten 1 screw per handle. Note: Only the right handles are included in the download. You can mirror this in your slicer, then you also have the left handles.

When the handles are attached, the wheel is approximately 280 mm wide.
I printed my wheels with Sunlu PLA+ 45% triangle infill. In my opinion, this is sturdy enough. I use Moza R5 (sometimes at full strength, but mostly at 80% force feedback). You can print with more infill for even more strength, or use carbon fiber pla, but 45% on regular pla will be enough in my opnion. The handles are printed with 15% Triangle infill.
The wheel is printed with 0.28 mm layer thickness, the handles are printed with 0.2 mm layer thickness. But you can choose this yourself.

Bambulab A1, Nozzle 220, Heatbed 65°
45% triangle infill for the wheel

Organic (tree) support for the handles (the base is printed upside down, no support needed). 15% infill for the handles is enough.
