3D model description
New 3D models featuring a screwpoint and a rod holder insert to make your own PVC screwpoint bankstick.
The pipe is made from 20mm diameter electric rigid sheath (IRL PVC tubing), making it strong and cheap.
This means you can make a complet set of "BANKSTICKS" of any length.
The 2 parts fit into the tube with an octagonal insert that I've tried in other models of PVC tube structure. I recommend using epoxy or araldite glue to assemble them.
The insert has a universal 3/8" angler screw thread.
The walls of 20mm IRL pipes are not uniform in thickness and you can easily reduce the diameter of the incoming parts angles using sandpaper. Don't forget that the parts must fit together tightly
First photo: assembled model after painting.
I'm thinking of creating a nice 3D rod pod model, as functional and robust as a model bought in a tackle shop, with a 20mm IRL PVC tube structure.
In the meantime, be inspired by my 2-3-4-5 WAY ELBOW FITTINGS / SEGMENTS CONNECTORS , downloaded thousands of times on the major sharing sites.

My models are designed for FDM 3D printing. They are designed to meet the specific needs of fishermen. They are designed/printed/tested several times in real fishing situations until optimal results are obtained.
3D printing settings
Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Layer height: 0.12 to 0.20mm
Infill: 50% minimum for the screwpoint, 100%for the top part
Filament : PETG, PLA meta, ABS, nylon
Position on buildplate: print flat with support
Application of a scale factor: not functional because of the screw pitch and insert
The model shown in the photos (made from the STL file you are about to download) was printed on an original ENDER 3 PRO with only a BLTOUCH and a PEI plate, to prove to as many people as possible that my models :
1/ Can be printed
2/ Don't need the technology of the latest generation 3D printers to be perfect.
If the print is excellent on an ender 3, it will also be excellent on your printer!
My 3d models aren't gizmos that vaguely look like something you'd buy in your favorite tackle store, they're real fishing tackle that meets the same standards, dimensions and technical/ergonomic features. It has been designed, tested and validated specifically for 3d printing.
For rod rest or butt grip threading, for example, it's not an approximate 8, 9 or 10mm gizmo, it's the exact universal 3/8 thread model, precise, that equips almost all brands of rodpod, buzzbar, bankstick, etc. and includes the tolerances for 3d printing.
