Hi, I'm just making a follow up on your purchase to know if you had any issues printing the helldivers 2 files.
Glad to receive your message, I encountered some problems with printing that I am solving by modifying it myself.
Here I can give you a brief feedback:
1. The 2 ventilation grooves inside the helmet need to be cut short, otherwise it will affect the wearing.
2. The entrance of the helmet is small, and it is also too small if you print it with your pre-partitioned file. I'm cutting myself using an all-in-one STL file.
3. The parts are designed with a mortise and tenon structure, and PETG cannot be fully fitted at the seam due to relatively high shrinkage, and the support surface will make the surface accuracy poor and rough, according to my previous experience, it is good to let the butt surface fall on the platform of the printer. If you are worried about the strength, you can add some recessed planes on the side of the butt position and print the thickness of not less than 3mm squares to increase the strength between them when gluing.
Finally, I hope this information is helpful. ^.^
Hi, I've updated the RE-1861 helmet basing myself on your feedback. Thanks a lot for taking the time to tell me this :)
