Hi. I'm trying to create a customizable OC. I'm half-Korean, so I'm wondering if you knew a good way to customize a miniature to look more Korean, like from HeroForge. I might also try out the files you've created here.

Heya!
That's exciting~ as far as advice goes with visually giving a character a Korean identity, a lot of it falls on outfits and kitbashing them to replicate the looks of hanbok/Korean armors.
It'll help to familiarize yourself with or put together a collection of references looking up images using Hangul for the best results. 한국 전통의 갑옷 is traditional Korea armor and is a good starting place. Other terms that would help would be Korean archetypes like 조선 포도 Joseon police/guards, 화랑 Silla flower boys (romanticized as warriors kinda like how Cowboys are in the West), 무당 Shamans, 사또 magistrates, 개마무사 Goguryeo cavaliers, and so on. Additionally, finding artists who do a lot of traditional costume art and push designs is a big help- there's a lot on Bluesky like https://bsky.app/profile/asunnydisposish.bsky.social

A few years back I put together an album of ~500 HeroForge Minis designed to fit in a Korean Campaign setting which is hosted in the official Hero Forge fan group on Facebook, feel free to give that a look-through! I didn't use any of my custom models in these, so they are 100% HeroForge and made before they added Kitbashing (I do my own kitbashing in the free 3D program Blender)

If you want more visual armor references and terms, I also have a cheap D&D 5e document on DMs Guild with hand drawn art of historical Korean weapons and armors on fantasy characters which I designed my 3D models here for:
https://www.dmsguild.com/m/product/424665
There's also a Korean D&D 5e campaign called Undying Corruption with a bunch of great artwork which I helped playtest that could also be a valuable visual resource for ya, though it is a bit pricey - another way to find the art is to look at Nine Heavens Press does post a lot of the art on their socials.

Let me know if that helps! Hope I didn't overload ya with info~

Is there any other way to contact you, like DM via email? That way I can attach some images and more links explaining what I want to do.

Of course! I'm on Bluesky and Discord, both using Jovey4 which are my preferred contact methods.

Hello, I am looking for stl files of historical Korean roof tiles. I want to create a Korean roof in 1/6 scale.
Background: i am a hobby writer and i have written a fantasy story set during the Imjin war.
You can find it for free on the internet under the title Kumiho Na-Ri.
Now I am building dioramas for 1/6 figures from this setting.
Best regards from Germany!

Hi, thanks for reaching out! If you're interested in setting up a commission, I'd love to discuss the details of the roof tile project with you! If the models are for commercial use, then a commission can be pretty expensive - if you're comfortable leaving the rights with me, then I offer a 'model this next' commission for the models I offer to the public, which are often free and list your name as the patron that commissioned the model. Let me know what you think :)

Many thanks for the answer!
I really only want to print this for myself as a diorama. I have no plans to sell it.

Ahaa I see! Well, what is the roof tile you need modeled? If it's simple enough I could do it for a low price and share it with the public with you credited as the model patron.

Annyeong Jovey4!

I'm really enjoying your sculpts - very hard to find STLs for Korean things!

I was wondering if I could suggest/request something to design - I'm putting together a fantasy Korean army to play Wargames with (like Warhammer and stuff) but my units are badly lacking battle standards. If you released a pack with lose flags and banners I'd really appreciate it!

Keep up the great work!

Annyeonghaseyo!
I'm glad you like my work! I'm currently in the middle of a sword dancing dokkaebi commission that's roughly 70% completed.
I'm available for commissions when that's completed if you're interested - private use commissions are pretty pricey as they come with commercial use rights but if you're comfortable leaving those rights with me, I offer a kind of 'model this next' commmission that prioritizes the next Korean themed mini/accessory I upload for public use.
I typically make terrain and accessories (such as banners) free in this case and list you as the patron that commissioned the model for public use - this type of comm is significantly cheaper. Let me know if that's something you might be interested in!

Hi there! I am about to open up 3D commissions again, are you still interested in those Joseon flags?

Hello! Congratulations for your amazing Korean-themed designs, and thanks for sharing them!
