Good evening,

With chitubox (2.3 and 1.21) i have successfully hollowed out wheel. Yes, there will be some artifacts inside, like thickening under letters, and thin film in the middle, due to nature how STL file is generated. The results will differ, depending on parameters(thickness, precision etc). So its all up to your slicing software! Creating a new, hollow file is not as straight forward, as final details were added outside cad software. This means i would have to redo most of it.
Hope you will find parameters that work on your slicer!

Afternoon,
Do you have or you have made an stl for the tracks for the sd.kfz 10/250 family?

Hello,
1ton track links are in future plans. Dont have them yet.

HBP

Hi,

Do you sell printed kits? Or just the files?

Hello, I only sell kits that are listed in scalemates (https://www.scalemates.com/brands/homebrewparts--18575). Other parts are only available as files at moment.

Have fun,
HBP

Messaged you on scalemates. Would be interested to buy your nebelwerfer kits.

At moment, this is impossible, tires were merged to rims during process. At this stage, i would have to start over, as i cannot rollback to previous version of the files.

BR,
HBP

Hi! Are you making commissions? I’m a miniatures producers and looking for someone who can make me a specific project.

Hello,
unfortunately no, i don't make commissions.
BR,
HBP

Hello, I've purchased many of your files on Cults, and I enjoy them, but I don't see the latest ones. Does this mean that only the printed kits are for sale? Are you planning any new creations as files on Cults or is it over for us personal 3D file enthusiasts?

Not exactly. Lately, things have been very slow on my modeling table, and this directly relates to parts i design. No models finished equals in little to no updates. I do have many files in various degrees of completion, that eventually will find their way here.
Talking about complex kits, story is different here. Major issue is copyright issues, as many of files i have made are used for making profit by ones who have no license for this. So until there is a method to prevent this from happening, i chose not to publish the files, as currently this is the only reliable way to protect IP.
Best regards,
HBP

Hello my friend, what about your Nebelwerfer... I'm still waiting to hear more! Best regards

Good evening! those kits are finished! (https://www.scalemates.com/brands/homebrewparts--18575)

Hello, is there a possibility to purchase the NbW41 or the Rw56?I love your designs

Good evening Lieven,

Sorry for late respense! 3D files for these kits will not be released. Those are only available as printed kits. Contact me homebrewpart (at) gmail.com for more information!

Best regards,
HBP

do you have a file for the Late war german fire extingushers and mounts?

Nope, the only 1 i did is already here.

On your 251 ZPW late tracks, the click tracks are showing multiple cavities between the track pad and linkages. Can you fix this?

Ad says foot hold loops, but when down loaded its tarp hooks

Hi, are these scalable to 1.48 in the printing process.....novice obviously.
Chris

Chris,
Some designs, certainly yes, while ones with thinnest parts - most likely not. Parts are designed with 1/35 in mind, might be just too thin and too small to handle. Increasing exposure time might help to boost success rate tho. I have successfully printed most of the wheels in 1/72, but as i only build in 1/35 nowadays, i cannot tell for sure about other scales.

HBP

Hi,I bought the set of the 20L WW2 Greman Jerrycan, and it looks great~ But I find that some parts od the neck assy are only 0.1mm, i don't think it can be printed :-( Do you have any suggestions?

Hello,

On those parts thinnest feature will be in range of 0.12 mm. This is achievable for printers wit resolution below 50 microns. (I have printed mine with Mars 2. On Saturn 3 those are even better!). It all depends on resin. Some resins, simply cannot reach high resolution. However, any resin marketed as 4K will allow printing such parts. My suggestion is to increase exposure time, until you will succeed. You can even print it as validation matrix, printing different exposure times at the same time.

OK, I'll try first. Thank you very much~ Which resolution is your test print 20 microns? Or less? I use water washable resin for my print, not ABS-like, So I need to change it?

Those in pictures were printed on 50micron resolution printer. Since then, i have printed some on 20 micron, and its better/smoother. I haven't had much success with water wash resins. Some are ok i believe, but i find that most resins are sensitive to water. So for me, best results in terms of warping of thin parts came when i stopped rinsing parts with water! As for resin resolution, difference is huge, and resins like Phrozen 8K or hyperfine allows reaching extreme level of detail. While some cheaper ones are ok for bigger, general use parts, but those wont print thin parts.. Next thing, pay attention @ layer thickness. I usually print 20 micron layers with 50 micron printer, and 15 micron or less with 20 micron one.

Have fun,
HBP

OK, thank you for your suggestions!

Hi HBP
I was wondering if you would ever consider making wheels and tyres for the Infanteriekarren 8 and front wheel for the Kettenkrad?

Thanks
Liam

Unfortunately, i havent got reference material for making those!

Darius question on your Kar98 and slings. I print most things at .2mm. as for the Kar98 and Slings. what settings do you use ? ill put a pic of my settings and most of my prints have turned out fine, but should i up the times when printing these smaller pieces?

https://ibb.co/gbyPtD2C

Hello,
In general, my settings are very close to yours, and only differs slightly depending on printer i use (mars2, saturn3 etc). For a small parts, i reduce exposure time to the point print starts to fail. This allows to get best level of details, as as overexposed parts will be thicker, holes are not gonna be round etc.
So for me, depending on printer - resin, i use between 1.6 to 2.5 second exposure. On mars 2 i tend to go for 3S and longer on some resins, For S3 2.1-2.5 is a sweet sport. Layer thickness depends on printer. 0.02-0.025 for Mars2, and 0.015 for Saturn3. At moment, im using either Phrozen Hyperfine (shorter exposire times, great level of detail), either Siraya Tech abs like.

Hello, do you have MG34 bolt model?

Hello,
Unfortunately no. Bolt is integral part of my Mg34 model, and cannot be separated.

Have fun,
HBP

can u make a mg34 bolt ?

Sir, how difficult would it be to resize this file for 1/48?

Hello,
You have to write comments in specific file page, so its clear what you are asking for. Now assuming "THIS" file has no thin walls and parts, rescaling it is straight forward, you can do it in seconds in chitubox or other slicer, by using scale function.

HBP

Hello.
I purchased a 1/35 scale WW2 German Fusprech radio set from you and would like to ask if I could request the LS Fu a speaker in STEP format. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Sorry, i do not plan to upload other file formats over here. STL is perfect for the purpose parts are designed.
BR,
HBP

Hello, I like your models! Please tell me, do you make a custom models? If so, please send me your e-mail contact. Thank you!

Hello,
It highly depends on the project. If i have use for it, and if there is enough data to make one, sure its possible. However, i haven't got enough time to finish my own project, so i cannot promise anything when talking about "side quests".
My contacts are accessible thru the profile page, by pressing "contact" button.

Hi Darius Your builds on Tracklink inspired me to buy my own printer, a basic Mars 5 ultra. I just loved the idea of being able to print whatever I need whenever I need. I am in the process of tweaking my Dragon Sd kfz 7 collection, sixteen plus four old dogs from Tamiya. I noticed that you had a different dashboard for your 7/2 and wondered if this was ever available as a print?
It would be wonderful if you could apply your skills to the Famo. Mid and late model versions are crying out for attention. Panzer Concepts had printed stuff but unfortunately they have closed. Other offerings only have partial changes, ignoring changes in wheel and sprocket design. I wish I had the skills to tackle them but I don’t but you could do them justice.
i also tried your Panther track. Thank you for your generosity in offering your designs gratis or very cheaply. Just getting my printing skills up to scratch and then I will be doing the trailers. I am already printing bits and pieces. Back to the Panther track. I shouldn’t be looking a gift horse in the mouth but I find the veritcally printed track is very difficult to remove from the base plate without breaking the blade. I should be able to tweak this but don’t have the skills yet. Do you think you could. They print beautiful and it’s a pity to waste so many even with careful removal. Regards and many thanks for your fine work. David Damerell Cape Town South Africa

Hi David,
Sd.kfz.7/2 armored cab parts arent finished yet, just like mine project. It is waiting for better days, as i want to redo some more parts for it.
As for the Sd.Kfz.18, i got many parts in various stages of completion, but havent finished them yet, as im not building one yet.
There is 2 versions of supports for Panther tracks. Vertical and horizontal. Both worked quite well for me. Give it a try. If you decide to try placing supports yourself, take a look at other designers work, like Tankbrusher. If i would do supports for track links today, i would do something similar like he did.

Thanks Darius. I look forward to new stuff for the Sd kfz 7 and 9. I suppose you have heard this umpteen time before your designs are superlative. I have been playing around with supports and I am feeling my way to the light. I am really enjoying your Sd Anh 24. A challenge to do justice to it but I am getting there.

ciao, per caso sapresti fare il modello scala 1:1 da stampare in 3d magari con parti funzionanti? grazie

Hello,
Highly depends on a subject, but generally 1:1 items are out of my focus.
Parts designed for 1:1 is not really suitable for scale models. This is mostly due to features we want visible/expressed on model parts. Sometimes, due to thin metal, or small lettering on original, those have to be exaggerated. For example sheet metal on tool clamps is 1mm thick. in 1/35 scale this becomes 0.03mm this is thinner, than kitchen foil.
Another issue with 1:1 parts is STL files, used in most slicers. This is notariously bad file format for this, as it doesnt matter if cylinder diameter will be 1mm or 1m, it will have same amount of triangles (meaning it will look angular, instead round).

BR,
HBP

Thank you, yes I was referring to the barrels. I will try as you suggested.

Hi, nice details. The lids are extremely difficult to get rid of the supports. They brake. Can I have a STL file, where there is only 1 part to print?

Hello,

It is possible to leave comments under each file download. Or at least mention files you are referring to. I had to browse your download history, to figure out what files you are talking about. My guess it is fuel barrels?
If yes, those lids are probably easiest thing to remove. You can always print them flat on buildplate (no supports). All parts i upload, i have verified that it is possible to print them. Barrel as single part will not print without loosing details. Parts are optimized for assembly, therefore, those don't make single solid you are asking for. And redrawing, modifying every single of them, is just too time consuming for the price i ask.
On a second though, all parts are included in download, and it is possible to assemble them with any 3D redactor, to have them as single part, and print them this way.

Hello ! I would like to print real size triangular fueel tank. Could you separate the body, the cap and the handle ? regards. Rudy

Hello,

Unfortunately, for printing 1:1 scale, part has to be completely redrawn. There are few reasons for this. First, there are features that are exagerated (such as handle mounts, flanges, ridges, seams etc.) This is done, in order to make those features visible after printing them with resin printer. Printed 1:1 this would result as "ugly" triangular gas can. Next issue, is that some of the processing is done outside parametric cad software, on STL file. This means it has to be redone after after STL is renewed. Lastly STL is BAD format for 1:1 printing. It is composed from triangles, and all round parts will be noticeably angular, when printed 1:1. It doesnt matter how big part is, amount of triangles will be the same.

HBP
