FlightLab_RC was created by a student with one goal: to make advanced UAV and RC aircraft design accessible to everyone, regardless of budget or background. Every aircraft, prototype, and system is designed with passion, engineering discipline, and countless hours of unpaid work ; and all of it is shared freely with the community.
Since 2025, FlightLab_RC has been developing open-source aircraft projects like the SkyTalon FLR-1, a fully 3D-printable evolution of the legendary X-UAV Talon Pro. These projects are released with free access to files, documentation, and design concepts because innovation should be shared, not hidden behind expensive paywalls.
But the reality is simple: developing aircraft is expensive.
As a student, I am currently funding everything personally โ filament, composite materials, electronics, batteries, tools, software, failed prototypes, and flight testing costs. Many times, projects are delayed simply because I cannot afford the next prototype iteration or the equipment needed to continue development.
I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for help keeping these projects alive.
Every contribution directly supports:
- Building and testing new prototypes
- Purchasing materials and electronics
- Improving aircraft performance and safety
- Releasing more free open-source UAV designs
- Continuing aerospace research and development as a student creator
If you believe in open engineering, student innovation, and the future of accessible aerospace technology, your support would genuinely make a difference. Even small contributions help move these projects forward and allow FlightLab_RC to continue creating aircraft for the entire community.
FlightLab_RC is not backed by a company or investors: just one student trying to build, learn, and share the future of flight with others.
