I'm blown away by all your sabers buddy, it's mesmerising how detailed they are.
I'm shrinking them down to make 1/6 scale sabers for my hot toys figures that light up, is there an easy way to reconstruct the parts into one object? Complete novice here..
Hey! I am absolute amazed by the detail and work you put into these lightsabers! Honestly impressive!
I noticed though, that your Darth Maul Lightsaber/Files, import with supports on em, like a Resin Printer Slicer would create...is this intentional?
Thank you! Yes, that is intentional, those parts have 90 degree edges that require supports and the tree supports worked really well so I include that as well. Having said that, however, it was made years and years ago, so I imagine modern slicer settings would do a better job.
Hello i am just curious what is the purpose of splitting the sabers into so many pieces? im just curious id think it would be faster to make them with less pieces
On the Rey saber I purchased, Im having a hard time figuring which parts on the gear assembly get glued. Does the actual emitter get glued to the post and the rest stays free?
Yes, pretty much, The connector will attach into the Upper Chamber and mate into the hole on the bottom of the Lower Emitter
Hi there! I love love love your lightsabers. One thing I just noticed when printing the Shin Hati Lightsaber. The download is missing the file for the Lower_Neck. Just thought I'd let you know. I was going to check to see if it was available over on printables but wanted to let you know here.a
So sorry and thank you for letting me know! It is now uploaded
Hello, is this possible to have access to the "full" model of Plo Koon lightsaber which means, not separated in tons of sub elements that are not on their correct position anyway ? thanks
I'm getting an error on Kanan Jaris saber, the Kanan - grip.stl is having a weird fan shape coming out of the file when sliced. Orientation doesn't seem the change it, any idea what's causing it?
First of all: I love your designs! I was printing Kylo Ren's lightsaber and the file "Middle Chamber" is giving me an error. I've tried in Cura and Anycubic Slicer. In the preview, everything looks fine, but when slicing, some parts disappear and it's not possible to print them... Regards!
hello,
first of all huge respect for the great and detailed replica . unfortunately I also have problems with the STL file "Mangled Grip" have already downloaded the file from Thingiverse, but unfortunately I have the same error there that the mesh should be damaged and unfortunately I can not get it repaired in several ways
would it be possible to have your permission to sell printed versions of you lightsabers . we would of course credit you as the designer
Sure! Please contact me at danielbradfordharris@gmail.com
Hey mate. Love your sabers. I was planning to print the Ventress hilts for a friend who's getting married, but the files all come up with an error message.
That's strange, to be honest I've had some trouble with this website recently, check them out in Thingiverse and let me know if you still run into the same issue:
That works. Awesome. Thanks mate. Please keep doing what you're doing!
Is there any chance the files for the dooku lightsabre will be released in .step or other file formats should on want to CNC it?
Hey man! I truly appreciate the work you've done to create all of these hilts and pieces. Part of the reason why I got an FDM printer was so I could collect every single lightsaber hilt possible. That said, I have two questions:1. Are all the pieces already in the orientation you would recommend for best printing results or would it be fine to re-orient the pieces to alleviate some of the print time? And 2. Do you have any stands designed for your hilts?
The download of the Avar Kriss' Lightsaber seems to be missing a "Middle Lower Inlay". Am I missing something?
It is uploaded now, thanks!
Hi, great model! I did notice that the "Middle Lower Inlay" is missing from the ZIP file. Can you supply that file? Thanks!
just uploaded it, sorry for the missing file :)
anyway you could make a cover for the starkiller emmiter shroud? wanting to print a clear one for my friend but i dont know how to model yet.
hi my guy this is a sick design i was wondering if u could make a lightspear
hi I love your work I just want to know if you can show like a tutorial on how to assemble the lightsabers
Do you have fully assembled versions of all of your lightsaber stls? When printing with resin its hard to assemble the pieces if your exposure isnt spot on. Thanks!
I was truly interested, you know, my printer has poor tolerances, so what? You missed out on taking my money, a mistake, i assure you. I could be convinced to still pay you for the designs, but I need an apology first.
Hey, do you ever let people sell printed versions of your designs?
Hi! I do list them under a non-commercial license, but in the past, I've just asked a licensing fee of $10 dollars per saber, just a one time fee to use them commercially, that way you don't have to break off a piece of every sale, so I know you're serious about offering them up for sale and to please include something like "files originally created by CaseStudyno8 on Thingiverse" wherever you list them for sale.
Ok, how would i pay?
You can send it here; https://www.paypal.me/DBradHarris
Ok, and if i continue, would you send me a reciept so i know im not gonna get sued?
For sure!
Ok, and do you have any tips on how to build them easier if my printer has "poor tolerances"?
?
J'ai imprimé la pièce numéro 6 de la canne a plat en 0,3 ça a été un fiasco aucune solidité. Allor que toute les autre pièce en 0,3 sont très solide
Hi there. any chance of getting an assembled STL for palpatine's lightsaber?
Hello, good afternoon. The reason for the message is to inform you that I cannot print Asajj Ventress's saber because I am getting an incomplete or defective file error.
Hello, good afternoon. The reason for the message is to inform you that I cannot print Asajj Ventress's saber because I am getting an incomplete or defective file error.
Find out if it's possible to fix it and, above all, thank you for the files you make.
