Printing instructions:
1. Import files to your slicer.
2. OPTIONAL. You can scale pads. For example community reports scaling X/Y to 92% fits smaller wheels better (like Nosfet Aero) Leave Z at 100%.
This step is optional and depends on what shoes you ride. By default I recommend printing as is.
3. If you are not sure about your printer tolerances you may want to scale LED mount down additional 0.5% (because there is a thread to secure it and if your printer gives an expansion or shrinkage it may be hard to fit) . So make it 99.5%
4. Copy and Mirror ALL parts for the LEFT side. Please make sure to mirror the LED mount as well, so the thread direction can match a mirrored base.
5. Pillows require support with threshold 20.
Filament Selection:
Double filament:
1. TPU 90A+ for bases
2. TPU or TPE (has more grip) <90A for pillows
Single filament method:
- You can use 92A TPU and use different infill %.
- base infill 15%
- pillow infill 8%
Settings:
Its recommended to print with 0.6 nozzle as a print is long. If you don't have experience with 0.6 you can stay with standard 0.4 and follow respective settings below.
3 walls
6 bottom
4 top
15% infill gyroid
Pads dimensions:
Pads depth is 75mm, and its perfectly measured for comfort and performance. But, as always, you are free to adjust scales, and change depth with Z scale if needed.
Pads can be printed on 250x250 bed size in 100% scale as designed.
Use Avoid Crossing Walls and print one part at the time for smoother wall finish.
Warning:use your experience to adjust these recommendations. All filaments are different. Some can be softer and you need more infill. Use your best judgement but overall these settings is a safe start point.
Always dry your flexible filaments before printing. 6 hr in filament dryer or 12 hours on the print bed under the cut filament box. Even brand new filament from the sealed bag.
