The melting point of PLA is 210 degrees Celsius, which converts to 410 degrees Fahrenheit.
Given you do not necessarily light the actual bowl on fire, and hold a distant flame from the smoke-ables, the product does not actually melt!

Yes, a flame held directly to this plastic will melt it.. hence the higher temperature of a flame. But please ignore the uneducated commenters who believe you smoke a bowl by lighting it on fire; lol. My bowl has over 100 uses and has no melting signs other than residue burns.

It is to your discretion how this piece is used, of course take precautions. But I would still recommend this over your water bottle bong

ABS could even be used to ensure a higher melting point, but I have used mine in PLA for over 2 months with no problem.
