Halloween train (illuminated)

The ghost train is now arriving just in time for Halloween! This large and elaborate model is the perfect decoration to make children's eyes light up on Halloween. The wagon in the middle (several can be printed, of course) can be filled with lots of sweets, while the locomotive and the ghost wagon come to life with flickering LED tea lights.

The whole model is available in individual parts, so it is very easy to print with almost no supports (recommended for the window and door frames) and without a special multi-color printer (AMS/MMU). The parts are then simply plugged or glued together.

At 100% size, the train (as shown) has a length of approx. 60 cm and a height of approx. 15 cm, with a width of 7.5 cm.

Of course, you can enlarge and scale upwards as you wish, but you should not print smaller than 80% because of the tolerances!

3D print settings

For optimal results, I recommend the following settings. My BambuLab files are set up accordingly:

• 2-3 contours

• 0.2 mm layer height

• 0.4 mm nozzle

• 10% filling

Of course, you can work with all other color combinations and let your creativity run wild

• orange

• Purple

• Transparent

Further information for printing:

Some parts have a color change during printing, this is already included in my Bambu files. All translucent parts should be ironed, all parts with windows and doors, as well as the boiler substructure should be printed with 0.1 mm layer height. The two roofs should be printed with at least 5 contours so that the light effect works.

Optional components:

There are 3 different sizes for the LED light insert, depending on which tea lights you use. Of course, you only need to print the appropriate file. For tea lights larger than 38 mm, simply do not print an insert at all.

Assembly:

Assembly is very simple, all parts are plugged together and glued if necessary. Comprehensive, illustrated assembly instructions are included for the locomotive, after which the assembly of the wagons is self-explanatory.

If you feel like it, you can also use a wire and absorbent cotton to add steam to the chimney. There is a hole in the chimney for this.
