Glarry Mustang Guitar Jaguar Conversion

So I fancied a nice Johnny Marr Jaguar but based on my lack of skills and cash I decided to see what I could do to get the same sort of experience.

Hence the Glarry Mustang Guitar Jaguar Conversion is born!

The pickguard and 3 other control plates are all 3D printed.

To complete this I used:
- Glarry GMF guitar w/o tremolo (Temu $42 on offer)
- Mustang tremolo (Aliexpress $25)
- 2 switches (Aliexpress $2)
- 4way switch (Amazon $8)
- New pots and capacitors
- New strings
- Duplicolor Wimbledon white spray paint (O'Reilly $16)

I used a GuitarFetish Single coil pickup in the neck and a Fleor Alnico5 in the bridge.

The whole thing cost about $100

I have added two more pickguards!
One if for twin P90s and the other for a Single-coil and a humbucker, with both mounted into the pickguard.

For the 3D printing:
I used a Bambu A1 and printed in 0.2mm in white PLA.
Make sure to set advanced options and turn ironing on for the top layer, and go SLOW with the top layer.

I post processed the 3 small control plates by using spray filler/primer and light sanding, before a couple of coats of shiny silver. They are already slightly scratched so this is not ideal but I don't like painting.

The pickguard I left as-is.

For the build:
Strip down the guitar. The strings are trash. The neck needs a sand and polish but mine had good fretwork and good tuners.
Lay the plastic pieces on the guitar. The screw holes for the pickguard should all line up. :-)
You will then be able to see where you need to route the body to make the switches fit.
Route the body, check fits. If you want to paint it this is when you'd do it.
If all is good then copper tape the body inside. Then mount and wire all the switches and pots. Put the neck back on. Put on new strings and test.
