These two coaches are models of the HO scale 1890 Wood Passenger and Combine (Denver & Rio Grande Western) coaches. To match the coaches in the pictures, certain parts need to be printed in certain PLA colors.
Sunlu Yellow - sides and cargo doors
Sunlu Silver Silk - roof, roof connectors, and end handlebars
Sunlu Gold Silk - bottom rods
Sunlu Tan - interior parts
Sunlu Gray - knuckle coupler parts and large washers
HP3DF Green Silk - window parts
Comgrow Black - platform, platform connectors, coupler and axle holders, brake wheels, label parts, and roof pipes
Print every part with a layer height of 0.12mm with supports. The coupler hook and tang pieces need to mirror in your slicer before being printed to look like the knuckle couplers on real trains.
For both coaches, print 4 axle holders, 2 roof end and connectors, 2 bottom rods and coupler holders, 2 end handlebars and door windows and 2 brake wheels. For the combine coach, print 1 passenger platform and 1 combine platform. The combine coach's side cargo doors can move back and forth.
Both coaches require the same screws to be assembled. You need to use 4 M3x6 hex socket head cap screws to connect the platform connectors to the platform pieces. Next, use 8 M3x4 hex socket head cap screws to connect the roof connectors to the roof parts. Also, use 16 M2x8 uxcell machine screws pan Phillips cross head screws to screw the axle and coupler holders together and 2 uxcell M1.4x3mm Phillips screws fastener black to screw into the larger washers and hold the axle and coupler holders in place on the bottom of the platform. Lastly, use 2 uxcell M1.7x6mm thread nickel plated round head self-tapping screws to screw the locker piece into place on the bottom of the coupler holder piece.
Use super glue to glue the bottom rods, end handlebars, brake wheels, roof pipes, window parts, interior parts, and label parts into place. The roof pipes need to be glued in place in the position that's shown in the pictures. For the label parts, print them in black PLA filament and color the letters with a white paint marker. Also, color the numbers on the side pieces with a black paint marker. The numbers are 14 for the passenger coach and 17 for the combine coach.
For the wheels and axle, you need to buy the 16 wheels on bricklink and buy the stainless-steel rods 2mm x 300mm from Amazon. The wheel part required from bricklink is part number 57878 and for rods, you need cut them into eight axles with the right length of about 40 mm.
For couplers, you can't install Lego magnet couplers to these coaches. So, if you want a Lego train to pull or push these coaches, you will need to download and print the new Lego train knuckle coupler attachment that I have on sale for $2.00. Also, the hook piece has a small hook point on the top so chain couplings can be hooked onto it.
