TheFrame - 100% printable frame for enclosures etc

This frame is the basis for a printer enclosure, or whatever you may need a frame for. :-)
It is 100% printable and no screws etc are needed.
Nevertheless it is surprisingly stable - but will not reach the stiffness of an aluminum frame, of course.

I tried to make the parts as modular as possible to allow for maximum flexibility in customization
The struts are available in 5cm increments from 5cm to 20cm. So you can choose the size perfectly according to your wishes.

For the panels you can use any materials (cardboard, wood, plexi, etc. etc.) up to a thickness of about 6mm - I recommend 4-5mm.
They are attached with brackets that give additional stability to the frame.

I tried to design the parts so that they are as easy to print as possible. Support is almost never necessary.

Please make sure that the materials used and the printer are compatible with the elevated temperatures in the case. I assume no liability for damage.

Please do not underestimate the required printing time and amount of filament!
Depending on the size and printer settings used, the frame will probably weigh between 1 and 2 kg.

I have created an Excel table to calculate the number of parts needed incl. estimated weight for the desired dimensions.

Some information on how I printed the parts:

Printed with an Ender 3 S1.

I used both PLA and PETG.
For higher temperatures in the print chamber, I recommend ABS/ASA. I could not test the prints with it yet though.

Printer settings:
- Layer thickness: 0.2
-for parts without overhang 0,28
-for screws and nuts 0.12
- Wall thickness: 0,4
- Outer walls first
- Infill: different
- Brim: No

• Most of the parts are designed with a maximum 45° overhang, so support is not necessary here.
• If your Z-seam is not so clean, try to place it so that it is not in "functional" places. So that the accuracy of fit remains there.
• Try to avoid an elephant foot as much as possible.
• I used a PEI pressure bed and glue. Thus, I did not need a brim even for small parts.
• Please calibrate your printer as best you can so that the parts then have the correct dimensions.
• If you use different filaments, check the dimensions!
