This is a high-detail 3D printable model of the Silbervogel (“Silver Bird”), a visionary rocket-powered bomber concept developed during World War II.

Proposed by Eugen Sänger, the Silbervogel was designed as a suborbital “skip-glide” aircraft, capable of traveling extremely long distances by bouncing along the upper atmosphere at hypersonic speeds.

The concept featured a sleek, lifting-body fuselage, short wings, and rocket propulsion, making it one of the earliest designs resembling modern spaceplanes.

Although never built, the Silbervogel is considered a pioneering idea that influenced later developments in spaceflight and hypersonic vehicles.

The model captures the Silbervogel’s streamlined body, short wings, and futuristic rocket-plane design, making it a standout piece for experimental and spaceflight collections.
