📍 Information:
This is an antipersonnel high-explosive pressure mine. The mine's casing is made of polyethylene and contains no metal components. Detectability by induction mine detectors is ensured by a metal ring placed on the mine's top and the use of a metal R54 detonator cap. If a non-metallic ID 56 detonator cap is used and the metal ring is not installed, the mine will not be detected by the mine detector.

The mine can only be placed on or in the ground manually. It cannot be placed using mine spreaders. It is not designed to be unhandleable.

The mine detonates when the user steps on the target sensor, which is the detonator head. Target damage results in the severing of approximately a quarter to a third of the lower leg from the feet. Fatalities can sometimes occur due to traumatic shock.

The mine was adopted in 1959. As of 2016, this mine is not a standard issue mine in the French Army, as France signed the Ottawa Convention banning anti-personnel mines on July 23, 1998, and ratified it on March 1, 1999. However, it is studied at the French Army Engineering School.
