3D model description

In-line motor pod for small Mabuchi motors (can length: 25 mm, height: 15mm, 1/32 scale), compatible with Slot.it. Easy to print, minimal support needed.

This model is for the regular motor usually used by Scalextric, with the shaft on the plastic side. For a Mabuchi motor with the shaft on the metal side see:

3D printing settings

Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Support: Minimal support needed

Insert the motor and the bearings gently, especially with PLA, as this material is very stiff and the support on the plastic side of the motor is very fragile. A good way is to insert the motor through the narrowest part and then turn it into the correct position. Use 2 or 2.2 mm self-tapping screws depending on the final size of the holes.

A little sanding can improve the fit of the part to the chassis.
